After reading the other reviews, I must have came on a bad day. First of all, they have signs saying due to Covid, They aren’t letting people in the lobby so you have to push a button or call their number to order. I pushed the button, and nothing happened several times. I called and the person didn’t have a restaurant greeting, more so like someone who was just waiting for me to order, or uninterested. After I ordered, she just hung up. Didn’t take my name or give me an order number or a wait time. She came out and asked everyone outside what their order was, lol unbelievable. She then went back inside, then came back out with the credit card machine and asked us our order again in order to get the payment. I waited maybe 35 minutes and she came out with my order. She really looked like she hated that job or was having a terrible day. I would have preferred to be able to go in the lobby. I actually thought this was a different restaurant that I usually get salads from but my GPS took me here because I typed Salads near me so I tried them anyway.
The salad was cold and fresh, which really saved this review from being a one star. Some of the items I would have cut to make smaller, but after tasting it, I didn’t mind the big chunks so much. It was appealing, appropriately sized and priced. They have a fair amount of options and things to accompany your salad, maybe could have more but it’s fair for my Lunch visit.
A few homemade dressings but the common types seamed more fitting. Salad only comes with one dressing and is a very small amount. You have to get another one and they charge for it. I can see some people spending an extra two or three dollars on salad dressing when they could’ve bought a bottle, I’m just thinking it should come with at least two dressings if they’re going to be that small or fill up the first salad dressing container.
The service experience from the Cashier, the method of ordering food, the wait time are reasons why I gave this a three star. The salad was definitely refreshing and could eat the same salad once a week. I may not come back here due to poor service w/ordering process.
The tuna salad had an interesting taste, very unique and different. Almost like they used Truffle Mayo or Truffle mustard, something fancy perhaps. I can’t say that I love it, but I won’t say that I hate it. It’s just different but the salad...
Read moreOn my way to Zaxby's for lunch, ironically to buy a salad, I saw the sign for “Salads by Martha”. Intrigued, I pulled into the shared parking lot and approached the restaurant. A quick glance at the door/window revealed they were only accepting phone or curbside/intercom orders – no dine-in customers for the time being. There was already a line of cars waiting for their orders, and a friendly lady was bringing them out. I placed my order with her, opting for the Southern Charm with a chicken breast instead of the chicken salad and no tomatoes. It turned out that the lady taking orders was Ms. McNeal, the mother of "Martha." She was incredibly friendly, and my order was promptly delivered. The salad was very fresh and delicious. I have already been back a couple of times ordering from home and just driving over to pick up. I definitely suggest everyone go support this local black...
Read moreEvery time I searched for food in my area, Salads by Martha would pop up. After months of scrolling by, I was in the mood for a good salad and refused to fight Atlanta traffic to visit my usual spot, so I finally decided to order. I have absolutely no regrets! This salad was so delicious, fresh and abundant. I got the Harvest salad, which included banana peppers, broccoli, cucumbers, olives, red peppers, red onion, and tomatoes. I added chicken and bacon and chose French for my dressing. This was one of the best salads I’ve had in a long time and I’m so glad Salads by Martha exists on this side of town! If you’re thinking twice on whether or not to try, this is your sign to DO IT. You’ll...
