Extremely dangerous area, Beware! This goes for employees & customers alike. I worked for Subway as manager many years ago, bounced around to different stores during training, unfamiliar with the area, was placed in this store to clean up a bad location, as I had a couple other stores, I had worked here only a couple weeks before location was robbed at Gunpoint , I was alone early on a Monday morning, suspect came in , went to restroom, only to return moments later with a gun in hand demanding cash, less than a minute later he fired 3 shots , hitting me all 3 times from point blank range, then he fled the scene leaving me alone in a pool of blood. Fortunately God had other plans for me, but over 20 years later I'm still dealing with major complications & additional surgery due to that day. I don't fault Subway or the owners for the robbery itself, but their actions afterwards, not one person from the store/restaurant came to visit me, though I was in hospital for about a month, not one member of the upper management, nor any representative of the subway corporation called, sent a card, offered any condolences or sympathy, not a single call or evidence of humanity. On the contrary, they seemed to cut off all communications, after I was conscious I recall having extreme difficulties in just getting them to release my paychecks so my relatives could pay my bills, I had hoped they could have someone deliver to the hospital but I had to send my family to pick them up. Most subways are independently owned, but the owners of this location care nothing about the employee or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBefore entering I noticed that the parking lot was empty but the open sign was on. Upon entering there were no employees in site. After a few minutes a young man came from the back but his demeanor was lackadaisical. I placed my order and requested that the bread be toasted. The roll was placed in the oven unopened so I asked for the roll to be opened to toast the inside which was done reluctantly. I chose mozzarella cheese along with other items. A coupon was used to pay for my order (6 inch for $3.99) which should have been a little over $4.00. Well, the total was $5.16. To avoid any additional challenges I paid then looked at the receipt. I was charged .79 for the cheese! Isn't cheese included with the price of the sub? Years ago this location's health inspection was ALWAYS in the 90's. Now it's 82! I said all of this to get to the main point. The prices are way up, the quality, services and employee standards are way down. ( Pants hanging down with underwear showing.) This needs to improve fast, quick and in a hurry! I believe in supporting small businesses in the area but only if and when there are quality services in all areas. In addition there has also been times when I visited and they had no oregano. Go across the street to Kroger...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNow, typically this Subway has good service overall, and the food is good. However, on this particular occasion, I came at 7:52pm on Saturday. Clearly, their closing time on their door said 8:00pm on Saturday.
The āOpenā sign was on.... So, when I walked in at 7:53pm expecting to get a sub, the server at the counter already had all the food out of their stalls in the front counter, getting ready to close the shop. All he said was āClosed,ā and nothing else. I let him know on the spot that he needed to at least turn off the āOpenā sign at the very least, and I left.
All in all: It is ridiculously unprofessional to close a store before the time that you say it is to be closed. That is bad customer service, and should not be tolerated by the public. Sadly, because of this action, Subway has lost my business at this particular location for the...
