Horrible experience! VERY RUDE STAFF!
I have NEVER EVER had an experience like this one! The staff was an older African American woman. Upon arriving, I saw a two seater available and I sat down. I was with my laptop bag and my carry-on. Before I could start adjusting my luggage to get it out of the way, she came over, didn't greet me or anything, and rudely told me I need to move my luggage. Surprised, I looked up and saw it was a staff speaking to me this way, and I told her that yes, I'm doing that now. She frowned her face and walked off. When I now ordered, I ordered the pecans and a coffee, and she loudly told me for everyone on MARS to hear that they don't have coffee. I asked again for clarification and she said NO MA'AM. I told her no worries, let me start with a water and the pecans. What happen next left me in shock: She went to her fellow staff, I couldn't tell who he was, and started complaining about me, about my luggage and about me asking for coffee. I couldn't believe it. A bigger table opened up and I moved over to that, considering the place wasn't full at all and she kept mentioning my luggage. She now complained for everyone to hear that I went to a four top table. I then told her, just so she was aware that I could hear her, that if a bigger party comes, I'll be more than happy to move because I'll be leaving. She then said, goes back to complain to her colleague that I'm unbelievable. At this point, I asked for my bill, wrote a big FAT ZERO on the tip and wrote a note telling her that the next time she wants to complain about a customer, she shouldn't do so for everyone to hear! I run and operate and chain of cafes myself and I could NEVER allow my staff or even myself be caught acting this way.
This happened last week. I was flying Southwest from FLL to ATL. I landed on...
Read moreHonestly it was the service. Extremely slow. I get that they had one worker, but she had no sense of urgency, would forget, and didn't prioritize getting people their checks. It's an airport. People shouldn't weigh miss a flight or a pay a check. I waited 20 -30minutes for my check and the restaurant wasn't even packed. I waited just as long for my check as when it was packed. I was there for an hour once I sat down. I ordered a glass of wine and as soon as she brought it asked for my check cause I knew she was going to take forever. It's 2 stars vs one cause I'm sympathetic to being the only one on an environment that by nature is high stress and rushed. But she didn't seem to grasp that people had flights to catch and people needed to pay their bills. Even chronological. People would come in, while several people were waiting on their checks and she'd serve them. Greet, take their order, fill their order. While folks were prancing nervous about missing a flight. I watched her move slow and straight forget what she was doing and that people wanted their checks. This is a staffing issue. (And generally that goes hand in hand with a employee pay issue). Very stressful experience eating here. Do not recommend. Stop...
Read moreRude staff. I got off a flight and was looking for a place to do some work and grab a drink/food. Litterally no one person in the place so I sat down opened my laptop and started working while I waited for someone to come out from the back. 15 min later a lady, I assume worked there, walks down the terminal and tells me I can't be sitting at the bar when no one is there because management doesn't like that. Ok, then maybe while you're open have an employee there yo assist customers. I said sorry and asked for a drink to which I was told I would have to wait for the bar tender. I asked if she was on break and when she would be back. I got a dismissive "I dont know" before she disappeared into the back.
Word of advise for business owners out there. If you're open, you need staff to assist customers. If you are understaffed put up a sign or something to let customers know. Also, get rid of rude employees. They will crush...
