Wendy's — Restaurant in Georgia

I don't know if it's because of the proximity to Interstate 75 and the lack of places to eat near Cartersville along the highway but this particular Wendy's was exorbitantly priced. I ended up getting the $4 meal because 6.50 with tax was way too much to pay for a single hamburger with fries and a drink. It also always irks me that the hamburgers come with cheese but if you don't want cheese you're still paying for it and half the time when you order it with no cheese it's still comes with it on.

This seemed to be a remodeled Wendy's but moving around and it was very awkward. One of the fancy soda machines was in a corner right at the exit to the line and people standing at it blocked everyone trying to go pick up their food or go to the restroom. There just wasn't enough space in the aisle for someone to mess around with figuring out the flavors in the fancy soda machine and for other people to go about their business. It seems like a small thing but it inconvenienced me several times.

I ordered unsweet tea and expected to find Splenda but they did not have any. I asked the person behind the counter for some and she brought me sweet and low, she did not even know the difference between them. I ended up throwing the tea away because both the sweet and unsweet tea were so weak you couldn't even tell they were tea.. I got some from behind the counter and it was not much better. I mentioned it to the manager but I never observed anything being done about it.

The food was just okay. Both the nuggets and the hamburger meat were tremendously overcooked.

I specifically visited Wendy's today because I wanted one of their salads. I have been put on a diet by my dr to control blood sugar and Wendy's is one of the places I go for a good salad. I normally visit the location on 41 next to hobby lobby, but I was on the other side of town today so we stopped at the location in hwy 20. It was 11:15 am. I ordered the baconator combo with a side salad but was told I couldnt have it without tomatoes because the salads are premade. I always request no tomatoes because they give my husband mouth ulcers. I proceeded to order my kids food and then a full size salad for myself and again I was told I could not request no tomatoes. I asked if there was any salad that I could order that didn't have tomatoes and I was told no. I was then interrupted through the speaker and told that I couldnt have a salad at all because they didn't have any prepped. Sounds like a perfect opportunity to me to make a salad just the way I like it, without tomatoes, since they hadn't "premade" them yet. They opened at 10 am and at 11:15 had no salads prepped. AWFUL experience tonight!!! I pulled through the drive through and waited for over 5 minutes saying "hello" over and over, and finally someone says "Hold on!" really rudely! So when she was ready I go ahead and order everything, a salad, BBQ fries, ONE 4pc chicken nugget and a drink. I got to the window got my total paid and then realized the total was too high so I asked for a full receipt and the girl at the window apparently the manager says" no we'll give you half a receipt..." Not funny. So I look and it says FOUR 4 pc chicken nuggets and I tell her I ordered one... and she ARGUED with me! I told her to go ahead a refund my whole order at that point and she wouldn't do it and finally agreed to only refund just the chicken nuggets.She made me sit there for 10 minutes before she came and gave me the order! The order was still wrong! She didn't put any sauce in the bag, no dressing and no salad topper. So I handed the bag back and asked her for the dressing and sauce. and she said "yeah you can get it" in a very rude way.
