Kat’s Sourdough and Juice Bar — Restaurant in Germantown

I wanted desperately to like this place. The good: the front was clean and staff was nice. The awful and made me never desire to return: the bread was raw inside and almost burnt outside plus the unexpected hair finds. I could be persuaded (the rawness) it was a bad batch even though it was costly for me to toss. I won't return simply from finding multiple hairs- in the bread and a second in the cinnamon roll. The eatery is clean and the staff attentive. Friend told us about it and especially spoke well of the sourdough cinnamon rolls. Got them to go and would say they are very good. Icing is sweet. Got their smoothies and would say they were ok. They were more like milk shake consistency. They are known for their sourdough bread. Did not get a loaf but while we were there many customers were buying the loaves for $11 per loaf. With the robust appearing sale, it seems many people love it. Oh my gosh! I stopped here on a whim today and I’m SO glad I did! I had never heard of it, but a juice sounded good so I went in. I browsed and ended up grabbing sourdough chocolate chip cookies. When I tell you these are genuinely THE BEST cookies I’ve ever purchased!!!! I was blown away! You simply do not find cookies like this available for purchase anywhere—-but now we do!!
