One of the worse places I have eaten. I love thai food but this place simply thai sabai does not worth it. Never I put my feet down there again. Food some very salty.... My starter was good... quite simple but the waitress was disturbed that I was delayed to choose my main dish. Then I asked if she could give me an idea with lemon grass and seafood ... she replied it does not exist. But I found a dish, chose to change it and unfortunate I chose another dish ... toooooo salty. Seafood yes but the sauce was almost 50% salt :) I did not eat the sauce and only the pieces of sea food. The waitress I asked 3 times for fork, and also to remind that this was my second try there... ( first time I went there, they said you have only 30 min as we are closing this is when I only ordered a soup that was good and I then got a desert and left... The first time I noticed the got other clients after me, So I still wonder why they gave me a time limit. This second time , after my starter and main dish I wanted a desert ... It may sound a lot to eat but I was there early so kind of lunch and dinner.... She put the bill in front of me not even my main dish was finished.. I ignored as I wanted to enjoy my food. Then once I was done I called her and asked her was that my bill to pay and she replied yes, then I smiled and said but I wanted a desert does it look like that I eat a lot? She did not take the joke n rushed to bring the menu.... she was giving me the menu and I said sweety I know what I want and ordered the desert straight away... Then the bill and I chose to put only few box less than what was offered on the bill as 15% tip... then leaving the restaurant she came after me... " U must put this amount of tip" I replied it's not a must I put the tip that I choose to put as an addition and she went on and on and even another staff came and followed up with her.... I gave up and left what they wanted.... Only if I had a head to continue I should not have a cent extra... but well, I chose to write the review instead when I am less...

My order was takeout, so I couldn’t rate the atmosphere with 5 stars. However, everything looked nice when I stepped inside, so I think a 4 is fair.

My main issue was with their service and the food. First, we placed our order online, so we were supposed to receive a text message when our food was ready for pickup. That text wouldn’t come for about 3 hours. Thankfully, my husband had the mind not to wait for the text and decided to go in about 20 minutes after I’d placed the order. He returned to the car with our food. However, I wanted some chili powder on the side, so I went back in to request some. The cashier informed me that they charged for that. I told her that we’d just spent $40+ on takeout from their establishment and inquired if it were possible to just throw the chilli powder in. After all, every restaurant I’ve gone to does so with takeout, or will bring the powder and the oil to your table at no additional cost. The cashier didn’t care. She reiterated that I’d have to pay. She said it was $1.06 extra. Granted, $1.06 isn’t going to break anyone’s bank, but I told her not to worry about it on principle. That just didn’t make any sense to me. (Plus, I didn’t have my wallet on me. (I’d left it in the car with my husband and it was too cold, snowy and icy outside to be running back and forth into that place.)

When I got home, I decided to try to enjoy my food despite being slightly annoyed about the charge for the chili powder. But wouldn’t you know, my food was BLAND?! I NEEDED my chili powder! I was annoyed all over again. Thankfully I was able to find some red pepper flakes in my spice cabinet to salvage my meal. But I will say I don’t know that I’ll be rushing back to their place...

I read some negative reviews before I placed my first order from here and decided to try it out anyway. This isn’t my first time trying Thai food. I placed my order over the phone and the guy asked me if medium spicy was okay. I said yes because in general medium spicy can mean a lot of different things to different people however, it’s mostly thought of as spicy but not overbearingly spicy like what our food unfortunately was. Our food was so spicy we couldn’t even finish it. Every single bite was so fiery. I called just to give feedback to the restaurant because we paid a good amount of money for food we couldn’t finish just to get told by the owner that I’m WRONG and because the guy had asked me on the phone if medium spicy was okay, that that’s what I asked for. I told him I’m not asking for our money back or anything and that I’m a first time customer so I wanted to give feedback but when you are greeted with that same owners attitude as I was, I had to write a review. He wasn’t a bit empathetic to our experience and I will never order from here again. If I were you and cared about how management takes care of their customers whether it’s great feedback or bad, I would avoid going to this restaurant because that’s just not how you treat people who choose to spend their...

The food here is ok. Their vegetable puffs taste like dessert (sugar and potatoes). Their spring rolls are solid. The pad Thai is pretty good, but I advise to not get soft tofu, as it was incredibly bland. Most likely this restaurant made the noodles in large quantities and then just scoops the protein on top. The tom kha soup was much more sour than it normally is in Thailand, so that was a little unsettling at first. The panang curry is nice, however there is not enough vegetables to the amount of liquid in the dish. Also the rice they give with it is an incredibly small amount. The papaya salad is decent, however just throwing in a whole head of cabbage cut in half just shows that this place may value saving money more than giving a good quality salad. The cold spicy tofu dish was ok, could have used a little more spices, onions, cilantro. Finally, their mango sticky rice dessert left a lot to be desired. The rice itself tasted old and off, not like the other rices that I’ve had at many other Thai restaurants where it feels freshly made and gelatinous. All in all, it’s a good place but I probably wouldn’t recommend it again. The store is takeout only and only allows one person at a time if you go to pick up food.

Was looking for a different Thai restaurant to try so came here, after read the almost 5 star reviews. I did read some of the reviews mentioned the dishes were no flavor & was hoping that’s not an frequent occurrence, unfortunately it happened to us 😞 Interior: plain, clean, nothing fancy. Price: $ Location: convenient, off street parking Alcohol service: they don’t have the liquor license anymore, only have some can cocktails. Service: very good , friendly and efficient Food: corn cakes blend, not much taste if you don’t dip in the cucumber sweet and sour sauce , the mixing batter tasted too much starch; chicken skewers were ok, has to eat with the peanut sauce otherwise the chicken only has curry powder flavor; chives dumplings, don’t order it, not much chives stuffed and the skin was thick and heavy ; drunken noodles with shrimp was good, tasty; floating market beef noodles flavor was ok, beef slices were chunky like beef stew & very difficult to eat, beef ball weren’t even sliced in half 😂 never had a rice noodle served with such huge pieces of beef. Definitely recommend the owner to update kitchen staff and find a finer chef.

I have been ordering them for years; their quality has been consistent and delicious. worth the money. I learned that their chef prior to Covid moved to where I currently live; the restaurant is called Tsunami, and it is Amazing, and yet, I am often on my way home from DC, and I tend to order from Sabai. However, after last night’s order I noticed the last time that the quality was a bit shaky. of chive dumplings (they were pretty but not good and sauce that usually is the icing was terrible) and pineapple fried rice $13.95 with shrimp +6 (got 6 shrimp, 3 small cashew halves, four pineapple chunks and a ton of semi crunchy rice), I will be ordering from Tsunami. The restaurant isn’t as pretty as before Covid ( not cozy); there is no reason for me to take the trouble to get off the highway and spend $35 on Sabai any longer. It was great while it lasted😞.
