The only thing good about this experience was the complimentary bread & our server Olivia.
We were a group of 6, that were happy to get a reservation for dinner on a busy night.
When we entered the establishment, we checked in and were waiting awkwardly in the front until a manager came out and told us that they were sorry but they wouldn’t allow us to come in because of one girls outfit that then turned into two girls out of our groups outfits.
When i asked what was wrong the outfits the manager replied that one of the girls shorts were too short and that another girls outfit resembled a “tank top”. i’ll attach pictures of both outfits below. When trying to solve the issue with adding a jacket to the outfit around the waist, we were told “They still wouldn’t allow it”. The hostess then said “There is a Tj max down the street if y’all want to go buy clothes”
If you call that hospitality and “Enhancing the experience of ALL our guest” like the Dress Code Guidelines mentions on your website I would consider going more in depth with all of the dress code guidelines on your website.. so it doesn’t feel exclusive or racially motivated because that is exactly how we felt.
“Your comfort and happiness is our priority” Yes if your white I suppose, because if a person of color try’s to dress nice to this establishment it is considered as overly casual.
With that being said, it was a busy night and despite being absolutely humiliated before we even sit down in the establishment. WE STILL DECIDED TO EAT HERE.
No one was satisfied with their food, The Medium-Well steak was Well done and absolutely hard as a brick around the edges. (if i wanted a well done steak i would have ordered it well done)
Overall, extremely disappointed. We drove over an hour to eat here from Oxford, Ms.
i’m sure they’ll be glad to know that we will never be returning and I inspire anybody that isn’t stuck in 1952 to not dine with this establishment either.
Hospitality is a term used for all guest not just certain types of guest and if you are gonna preach the standard of a fine dining establishment please live...
Read moreI will not be returning to this restaurant due to a series of unacceptable service and food issues that made for an extremely disappointing experience.
From the beginning, the service was inattentive and disorganized. It took far too long for our food to arrive, and we constantly had to ask for basic items such as bread and drink refills. The complimentary bread, for example, was only brought to the table after I asked three separate times, and even then it took nearly 30 minutes before it arrived.
The kitchen was also out of rice and asparagus, limiting options for several dishes. On top of that, there were serious mistakes with our entrées. Two members of our party ordered the Hong Kong sea bass but were instead served the daily special sea bass. What made this worse was that the manager had already come by earlier to explain delays, stating he was not satisfied with how the sea bass was prepared the first time—yet the wrong meals were still delivered to us, and the staff didn’t even notice the mistake.
Another member of our party ordered a steak that was completely overcooked, dry, and clearly had been left under a warmer while waiting for the other dishes. To make matters worse, the wedge salad ordered with the steak was never brought out at all. We didn’t realize this until after we left, and it appears we may have been charged for it.
Throughout the entire evening, no apologies were ever offered for the repeated mistakes, poor service, or overall lack of care—even when these issues were brought to the staff’s attention.
In summary, the combination of inattentive service, excessive wait times, unavailable menu items, completely incorrect entrées, forgotten orders, and the absence of any acknowledgment or apology from the staff makes it clear that this restaurant does not value its guests’ experience. Based on this visit, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this...
