How do I accurately explain my experience with this store in a manner that truly conveys what occurred? I’m not really sure how to explain the overall experience in this store but I can tell you that the vibe is absolutely disgusting!. I’ve been to many of their locations from Chicago to Jackson to Florida but this one has the worse customer service I’ve experienced in any of the other locations. I went in the first time and purchased a few items and noticed it then as well but dismissed my feelings initially in an effort to be open-minded. First off, there were many customers in the store greeted upon entry and/or being assisted but no one greeted nor acknowledged my presence. I walked around a little bit and while there, one associate after another passed by, gave an awkward, forced smile but never uttered a word. I was just about to walk out when finally an older gentleman stopped by to ask if I needed any assistance and helped me find what I was looking for. When I left that day, I vowed I’d never ever return however one of the items I purchased did not fit so unfortunately I had to return to exchange. Lucky me, right??
So, the second time there were a few people in the store so I walked to the counter and waited in line. A young lady was helping someone, an older man was standing and a younger man was scanning garment bags. The older man then gives that same awkward, forced smile accompanied by a low voice that said “someone will help you soon” and then the young man says “Yes, do you need a refund or to return?” I replied, “No, I would like to exchange” at which he said he’d assist me at another register.
When we arrived at the other register, I asked him why did he automatically ask if I had a return/refund? He said “Well you had a bag in your hand so I just assumed” Classic, right!!?? Disgusting answer honestly especially from the person who said it. Anyway, they actually did not have the size I needed so I had to end up refunding them anyway which as I walked back to my car, believe was truly a blessing! The fact that I gave this store even one dime of my money sickens me to no end!
The blatantly negative, less than open, clearly biased, condescending and unwelcoming vibe in this location is palpable. It’s very disturbing but I’m not at all surprised. The only reason I ended up visiting is because the day I needed my items, Brooks Brothers was having connectivity issues with their overall store systems and their registers were down. While I’ll never ever return to this store, I believe it’s important that others know before visiting. After having the same kind of experience days apart, I’m sure they are well aware of the atmosphere in this location and that it’s a part of their overall culture. Never forget that our world is a huge place filled with many types of people of diverse backgrounds. Assumptions are never good because this can potentially cause you problems you don’t want or need as history has shown. You would take care to remember this when dealing with each and every one of...
Read more1 star is too much for the poor customer service received at this Jos. A. Banks saddle creek. I did come in with my 12yr old who will be the ring bearer for a wedding in Sept. I was asked by a lady if I needed something I responded yes, I need my son to be fitted for a suit to be purchased. She immediately stated not many choices for children in the store everything has to be ordered online. I did tell her the groom asked me to come to this location to get his suit as they were explained previously kids get fitted. I then asked if my son could be fitted to place an order online. She said I will have to wait, and I did for over 30 minutes. I kept seeing ppl getting fitted walking past us and finally when one man who was fitting ppl was available the lady that asked me initially told that man about us waiting and she told him "Oh I forgot you aren't good with kids"? what did she mean by that not good with kids??and he left to measure 3 different men and didn't bother to tell us anything. We continued waiting. Finally, after the 30 min another women came and asked if we were helped, I said no we have been waiting and need my son fitted, and the women was rude like not happy because it was a child looked at us weird and asked questions like we were wasting her time she said that there were no suits for kids and never asked if we needed my son to be fitted. She brought out 2 jackets big for a 12-yr old. When I asked her if that was all she had she just said yes, I just gave her the jackets and helped ourselves out. Don't waste your time if you have kids in your wedding party and need suits, they will not assist your kids. Jos A. banks at saddle creek are not kid friendly. We had to go to a competitor's location with excellent customer service for kids. Very...
Read moreI visited this Jos. A. Bank location with my family this afternoon, and unfortunately, our experience was far below the standard we've come to expect from the brand. We've shopped at several other locations over the years and have always received excellent service, which is why this visit was so disappointing. Upon arrival, we were not greeted, acknowledged, or offered assistance. We waited for nearly 30 minutes without a single staff member speaking to us, despite walking past us multiple times. Meanwhile, other families (none of whom looked like us) were promptly greeted and assisted without hesitation. We understand that stores get busy. However, the lack of basic acknowledgment, especially when we were clearly browsing and ready to make a purchase, felt intentional and disheartening. We had to seek out help ourselves, and by that point, the experience had already left a negative impression. To make matters worse, after mentioning to a staff member that we hadn’t received any help and had pieced a suit together on our own, we overheard employees in the back discussing us. This level of unprofessionalism only deepened our disappointment and made us feel even more unwelcome. We are a professional family and have patronized Jos. A. Bank for years because of its quality and reputation. This visit made us question whether all customers are truly valued the same. We hope this location takes the necessary steps to ensure every customer is treated with the courtesy and respect they deserve,...
