The food and atmosphere and such is good, but we called ahead and asked about bringing a dog, which they said was fine so long as it wasn’t bothering anyone (as did the bartender). The dog rocks, for context, and we sat in a corner so it obviously wasn’t bothering anyone. People were actually loving on him bc tbh he’s cute af (not even my dog so totes unbiased here even tho mines cuter).
About 15 minutes in, a random server who wasn’t even ours came over and said he wasn’t allowed to peacefully sit on the girl’s lap and instead had to be banished to the floor. The dog is like 6 pounds so not exactly knocking the table over or anything. In fact you couldn’t even see it unless you were right next to her - like his head was under the table so if that was the issue it shouldn’t have been considering the floor wouldn’t have made a difference.
Just would’ve been cooler if they had’ve mentioned something about that before we brought Oliver in and ordered food and drinks, because we had to leave since we didn’t want to leave him in in the cold car. Not to mention it wasn’t even the Karen server’s table (the one who exiled him). Our actual server was wonderful and at least listened intently whilst we complained about her coworker Karen.
Unfortunately I can’t recommend this place any longer, as dog’s are sacred and should never be shunned under any circumstances. I wish the place the best…maybe one day some folks will bring in a cat. Then they’ll learn how wonderful...
Read moreAgain, another issue with receiving the ordered breakfast correctly. We usually have four together; separate checks and specifically ordered items (the restaurant's usual procedure...with many options to choose from). Order-taker and (same OT-S) server, never record our combined requested items. First-time errors, the OT-S stated the kitchen staff was new and needed further training (couldn't cook eggs as requested). So, a return visit was delayed. The next visit, the second time, again the orders came back wrong. AM food service shifts can be rough and tough when the OT-S is also the Bartender. One person working a possible 30 tables, bar, walk-ins, taking & delivering orders, and closeouts is difficult. But, now should anyone choose this location for breakfast most of our regulars may miss the event. Why go if there is a chance of not getting what you order? I guess, buyer beware! (Unless you like overcooked or wrong items.) Sorry... No photos (we were in a hurry to leave) By the way, lunch & dinners seem to be better staffed though errors may still occur. Be careful if you have dietary restrictions (gluten-free pizza crust is available but may be missed as ordered in...
Read moreWe have been loyal customers of the Hyu hee hee since the 80s it is gone through several ownership changes and a lot of transformation over the last few years when JP first took it over he really stepped it up a notch and things were going great but to be honest, things have gone downhill in the last 18 months Specifically today when my went in there To get lunch. The bar and restaurant was not full and it appeared to be fully staffed and yet it took an hour to get his food. Also, after waiting almost an hour, watching his food, die in the window for nearly 10 minutes was extremely frustrating. My husband never complains and wouldn’t dare say anything so I will for him. This is unacceptable. Get it together. Also if you are having issues and you are “in the weeds“ you might want to stop by your table, check on them, and offer some sort of consolation for the unreasonable, wait and lack of service. Just to put my frustration into perspective the last three times we have ordered to go. Our order has been wrong. I myself I’m allergic to dairy and my sandwich has had cheese on it all three times. Very disappointing especially when it’s melted and you can’t...
