Holly and Cat ate just excellent.
If that’s all you read from this review, really that’s all you need to know.
Here’s the story……………….. Without going into detail, we had a small issue with a waitress. We brought it to the attention of the manager, Holly, and in the manner that she handled the situation first of all, was shocking, (because in this day and age customer service sucks)!!!!
However, she handled it in a way that you would’ve thought, she owned this Applebee’s location.
(In the manner that she presented herself, you would’ve thought she was a mom and Pop shop and this was her own Applebee’s that she built with her bare hands and has such passion for).
Usually, most big restaurant chains only care about profits and satisfying the pockets of CEOs and shareholders and , don’t care if you have an issue.
Holly and Cat were completely opposite of what you would expect from a big restaurant chain experience You could tell by talking to her on the phone and then when we met her in person about 30 minutes later, she truly has a passion for the restaurant and a passion for being a manager.
So subsequently, she was more than outstanding with us. She made sure we had the food that we wanted. She made sure that we had the drinks that we wanted…… the food was hot. The drinks were cold. There’s no confusion on the orders nothing.
She conducted herself on such a high standard, not only is it rarely seen, she deserves a raise and easily trained other employees to show Good management skills!!
Essentially, the bartender/server, Cat, was just as excellent as Holly. Cat was pleasant, easy to deal with. We didn’t have to wait a long time for food. She refilled our drinks. She would come back and ask us if everything was OK several times?
Seriously, what kind of waitress or bartender does that these days?
Cat, had a great demeanor, and she also looked and presented herself very clean, chic and stylish in her look as you felt comfortable when she would bring your food to you. She made you feel that you are welcome to come to the restaurant and eat whatever you want and stay would ever length of time that you wanted to…..
Both of these women collectively made us feel as if we should be coming to this location more often because we know we will get good service. And I would highly suggest if you’re reading this and you are going to go to Applebee’s I would ask for Holly and Cat, they’re just excellent, and what you would hope to experience when you’re taking your hard earned money out of your pocket and using your time to go sit at a restaurant ——— they give you the experience that you...
Read morePretty disappointing... we received a gift card for Christmas, and decided to use it for my birthday dinner tonight. What a mistake! Our waitress didn't introduce herself, didn't make it a personal experience (but seemed to be hanging out with the table across from us quite a bit, if not sitting and talking with other waitresses), definitely undertrained, and food was bland and lukewarm. One of the dishes we ordered was the steak stir fry. When asked how I would like the steak cooked, I chose medium rare assuming that it would have been slightly more cooked if it sat under the warmer for a minute or two (I was a server for roughly 4 years. I get that if you're busy, sometimes things might sit for just a minute... BUT, it wasn't really busy at all...). The steak might as well have been a dog treat. Miserably over cooked and practically past the point of well WELL done, and the dish in general had no flavor. I came in borderline hangry too! Things are always more appealing when you get to that stage of hungry... The other dish was the bacon mac and cheese with chicken strips on top. We felt a little adventurous, but don't get that unless you come in drunk, and are going to drink more. Only good part with that dish was the chicken strips. The mac and cheese tasted like it has sat in a warming tub ALL day, and like it came from a box. On top of that, the grease from the fryer had dripped down from the chicken strips to the bottom of the 5-pound bowl it was served in. Really?
Best part of the experience was leaving. There is a reason that so many Applebee's have shut down. Sorry, guys, but something's gotta change. Management, shift lead, I don't know. But it was pretty pathetic! Maybe it's time for a staff meeting? Overall, I won't come back or recommend it.
And I must add, after reading the other reviews, simply replying and requesting that anyone who was unsatisfied contact you, why don't you just fix it? Put together the complaints,...
Read moreHighly disappointed. I came in on Tuesday 1/9 after work with my boyfriend, as originally we were going to just do a friendly little half price appetizer night. However, when most of the appetizers I wanted weren't included I decided to go ahead and get a meal. So mind you that is at least 3-4xs as much in cost. So I'm expecting to get full and have something tasty. I order the entrée that I usually get at Applebee's when I want a meal, the sauteed chicken, mushrooms, and shrimp, with mashed potatoes . Now being that I've had this multiple times before, I KNOW what it should taste like. It's usually very flavorful and decent in portion size. No, NOT THE CASE HERE. It was the whitest, Fakest looking, cloned meat looking, FLAVORLESS, chicken breast, that I've ever seen. I even asked the waiter if it was cooked, immediately after he set down the tray because it looked so strange. He claimed it was and asked me to cut into it. Obviously there is no blood as it looked like this had been cooked on an 'at home George Forman' grill, with its 3 grill marks, so I basically have to take his word that it will be ok. I'm also with my guy so I'm not wanting to make a big deal and complain but in cringing inside trying to eat this food. I only ate half the chicken while there. There were only 3 pieces of tiny shrimp in the entree, which seems like a few less and MUCH smaller than normal, and that little splat of mashed potatoes was not much of a treat as well. It just was the most bland, yet overgreasy meal. I mean no flavor at all except from the mushrooms.
I'm really just outdone at how flavorless, tiny, and unfulfilling a $20 entree was (plus tip on top of that). I would have been better off buying a pack of chicken at the store and cooking it up myself and at least i would know i had actually meat because that stuff taste like it could be that new...
