Everyone loves to hate GameStop. I've been in there a few times and never find the same people who are working there before. That tells me that they have a high amount of turnover. But let's be honest, working at GameStop is not a career move and maybe something you would do after you got out of rehab and you were still on methadone.
There should be some sort of warning on the door telling you that our customers may or may not believe in showering. Because while I was in there these few different times off and on, I can recall that the other customers had extreme body odor. I'm talking full on world war one trench fighting mustard gas equipment needed. I actually looked at my daughter to see that she was turning a very unhealthy color of green and she said Dad I need to get out of here now. That was the one time I took her because the sub shop is right around the other parking lot. She told me in the car that she will never walk in there ever again.
My son, on the other hand, the last time we were in there was able to go through their bargain bin and pull out a pretty sweet action figure. That was probably a good 4 lb and after the Witcher series. The normal price was $86 we found online and this price was $15 for a 15-year-old this is absolutely gold to add to the collection in their room.
What I can tell you is that they have a high selection of Nintendo games that you can get and they also have keyboard and mice for gamers as well. You can buy an Xbox there or PlayStation that's been refurbished and give it a pretty good price. As I'm no longer a gamer, I can only live haphazardly through my son as he weighs the pros and cons of dedicating a few hours of his life to a game.
He did look at the clothing in there and he wondered as we sat in the car Dad we live in Phoenix Arizona. Why would they be selling so many heavy hoodies? That's a good question. I think they would be able to move more merchandise if they just sold t-shirts.
Let's talk about the store. It's a normal game stop store. It was clean. Well laid out and everything was hanging correctly immediately as it should, which tells me the staff goes around regularly checking everything to make sure it is in its appropriate location so that the customers can decide on...
Read moreTaylee is an absolute nightmare. We hadn’t even walked through the door yet and we could hear her screaming at one of her employees because they didn’t know where to find something. And I mean Taylee was literally raging screaming her head off I thought she was going to have an aneurism. No one deserves to be spoken to that way and much less over something so trivial. I was shocked at the level of unprofessionalism openly displayed in the shop by Taylee’s outrageous power trip. After she finished screaming, she went on to very loudly talk garbage about the employee she was raging at (again, all while customers were still present and browsing the store). Taylee then answered the store phone to assist a customer and after hanging up she again talked garbage (this time about the customer) to her employee. Come checkout time, we said no thank you (twice) to the offer of joining their GameStop pro membership program to which Taylee became incredibly irritated and proceeded to treat us in an absurdly rude manner getting snarky, rolling her eyes, and unnecessarily throwing our purchase roughly into a bag. Overall a horrible experience, we weren’t the ones getting yelled at but somehow ended up getting the backlash of her horrible attitude. To be clear, the store was clean, organized, and nothing was wrong with their merchandise. Taylee however, is an absolute nightmare and needs to get off her power trip and consider getting an...
Read moreThe employee was incredibly rude and dismissive. I went in looking to trade in my PS4 for a new one and there are none in stock anywhere and they don't know when they're going to be in. All of that is fine. It makes sense considering everything that's going on. The problem is the way that the employee spoke to me and was just flat-out rude. I asked if his manager was around so I could find out if they can hold the trade-in value that I was quoted until they had some in and he smirked at me and said that no Alex wouldn't be in 4 a week. When I said I would make sure it's call him then he said yep good luck with that and then said the same thing when I told him that since he's so rude I may just go ahead and call corporate. I called the store right down the street and the manager was incredibly helpful offering to look it up for me to see if there were any available online and really trying to go out of his way to explain the situation and help me find an option. What a difference that...
