I had high hopes for Ivy & Sage based on their mission and glowing promises, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. The boutique felt more like a disorganized collection of overpriced items rather than the "magical escape" they claim to provide. Many of the products they sell are blatantly resold from other stores with a ridiculous markup, which makes their claim of a "carefully curated" experience feel misleading.
The atmosphere wasn’t welcoming, and the staff seemed indifferent rather than inspiring or engaging. To make matters worse, the owner was exceptionally rude and clearly lacks the first clue about customer service. Instead of enhancing the experience, their attitude made me want to leave immediately.
If this is meant to be a treasure hunt, I left empty-handed and completely disappointed. Before you go, make sure you check their Yelp reviews as well—they paint a much clearer picture of what to expect. I truly hope they can turn things around and live up to their mission statement someday, but for now, I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreI wanted to visit this shop because I saw a video about it on Instagram. The video said a couple of times that the store is "close to Phoenix." Just FYI, it's not really close to Phoenix. It's in the greater metro Phoenix area, yes, but it's waaaaay out in the far reaches of Mesa. So not all that close to Phoenix.
Ivy & Sage is a cute shop with a lot of cool decorative items to look at. If you are sensitive to smells, be careful here, because there was a strong smell of potpourri wafting about when I visited.
There are many cool items here, but I really wasn't in the market to buy anything. I live in a small space that's already full.
Prices seemed high to me, but I'm not sure, as I don't typically buy the kind of items for sale here.
There was a wide variety of items for sale here, including holiday specific pieces, candles, soap, diffusers, candy, jeans, tshirts, kitchenware, and wall decor.
I've seen other reviewers mentioning Ivy & Sage sells items from small businesses, but I didn't see any specific indication of that...
Read moreThe stores is awesome and I loved how they had everything set up. I’m rating it a 1 star because I was asked repeatedly if I wanted my basket held at the front when I thought the basket was for you to shop. My 17 year old daughter and I were followed around the store as if we were going to steal. The worker didn’t ask anyone else the question she kept asking us. She even excused the other cashier from ringing us up as she needed to know we paid for our things. My order came up to $130. If it wasn’t for them selling for small business I would have gladly left the store with out anything but why hold others accountable for this service. Sad to say it will probably hurt these small business. My daughter will be doing a video on this store the pros and cons. If you are dark skin I suggest you head on over to michael’s just a few doors down they not once made us feel uncomfortable. That’s my opinion. I will not be shopping...
