To say I was disappointed yesterday Saturday, September 14th is a HUGE Understatement.
I am well aware of how busy this location gets. Yesterday was my husband's birthday and we love their Bone-In Ribeye, I chose the wrong location to host 12 of us. Because im aware of how busy it gets I called in at 1pm indicating if I needed to get on the waitlist for 3pm as I had 12 people attending his birthday dinner. They placed me on hold and a Manager came back on and I explained I had 12 people attending a birthday dinner at 3pm and she told me that the waitlist wasn't out that long and to call back at 2pm to be placed on it.
I called back at 2pm, spoke to the manager and she informed me she added me to the list for 12 and when I got in the parking lot to text the number back indicating "Here" and to gather my party up and go in to the desk where they check you in. I did just that to be spoken down to by a 18 year oldish brunette female. I went to the desk and this 18 year old that clearly has no respect for elders nor customer services etiquettes completely dismissed what the manager on the phone told me and rudely told me to take my party outside and for us to wait in our cars till I received the text our table was ready. Mind you I texted the number "Here" at 2:50pm.
While I wanted to be disrespectful back to this young entitled employee I did not, I informed her we would not wait outside for an hour to be sat and once again told her what the manager told me over the phone, which again she totally dismissed.
3:20pm comes around and I get the text. We are taken back to our table which ended up being 2 tables and all of us split up.. Now had I known this would take place I would've gone to the Gilbert Road location as I've never had my party split into two, what is the point of going out to eat to celebrate with loved ones when you are all split up. This location knew 12 of us were coming in at 3pm since 2pm. In the bar they have 2 tables that join that they could have put all 12 of us at rather than a couple at each table that sits 6-8 people a table. Common sense would let one know not to do such more so when you have a party of 12 coming in. It was not extremely busy so this made zero sense to me for us to be split and for staff to not know how to seat customers.
I will never ask my family to do a celebration here again but yet the Gilbert Road location that accomidated us just fine. Because they split us into two tables, each table ate at different times and not together. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and the little entitled teen brunette up at the host stand should NOT be there with the attitude she has.
If you have a large party & want Texas Roadhouse go to the Gilbert Road location as they accommodate to your party size. $20 plus a plate is at this restaurant and with a party of 12 you would think customer service would be up to par and they would sit parties together as they went together & called in 2 hours prior to have correct accommodations handled.

Read moreThis location RUINED my niece's 21st BIRTHDAY! We called ahead to let them know we had a large party. My SIL called and originally told them we had 12 and a high chair an hour before we arrived. We had a family member be able to get off work last minute so we added a person making it 13 and a baby. As soon as we got there I let them know that we had arrived. A lady who I'm assuming is the manager said in a not so nice voice. "Come back when everyone is here." Ok, I get it. Everyone has to be here to be seated. We all get there and get a table around 8:15pm. We were the only ones on a wait at that time. The take us into the room in the front of the building. They make 9 people squeeze into a booth that is clearly made for 6 and 4 members of our party were at a separate table across from us. I have a 20 month old and when I asked for a highchair they said that they couldn't put one there and told me I had to keep him on my lap. Have you ever had to keep a toddler on your lap that just wants to get down and run around? Imagine trying to cut your steak with a 30lb child on your lap. I decided that I would take him out to the car and hope that it would be resolved and we could figure out a solution. He was getting upset and crying and that was upsetting the baby next to us. When I walked out there was no wait. My husband asks again if we can get a high chair and they tell us no. We were all smashed and the table directly next to us opened up. A perfect accommodation. They ask if we can take that and spread out and I can come back in and use the in booth high chair and wouldn't you believe that the manager said, NO! Not let me figure this out. Let help accommodate. At this point everyone was so frustrated and upset by the lack of willingness to try to accommodate that we left. My 7 year old was bawling. My nieces who's 21 birthday was so upset. It was a big deal. When we asked where she wanted to go she said Texas Roadhouse. How do you think she feels about your restaurant now? We had family members take off work, and elderly grandparents come to celebrate a huge milestone. Take some classes in customer service. Every single one of us vowed to never step foot in another TR. Just know that you ruined a...
Read moreI'm starting to notice a trend on this issue and first noticed this at the Gilbert restaurant in Chandler. We ordered the same thing we always get and that was the Ribeye and ribs combo. 2x now the wife and I noticed this at this Power rd spot where they are trying to push a top sirloin off as a Ribeye steak. No marbling through out or lrg fat line deviding the two parts of the ribeye. We raised our own beef each year on the farm for 30 yrs+ and being a country boy definitely knows the difference of the 2 cuts of beef. These were sirloin and the ones that I would leave in the freezer for the girls in the family that did care for much fat and more taste. They are thin and not thick like the Ribeye steaks they use to serve. Even in their display case out front, they looked like cheap sirloin. If you can't taste the difference between the 2 cuts, then sirloin is for you. I've been to many Texas Roadhouse restaurants throughout Colorado, New Mexico, and all across Texas and Louisiana and have never had this issue. They are probably getting the white face Herford/ Angus mix breed. So much better than what's being served here. The service was great, but the steak wasn't a Ribeye, and the ribs were way overcooked. Too dry to be serving. Ribs should be very juicy with lots of flavor. You should have to cover it with BBQ sauce to choke them down. We shared the combo and still didn't make it through half of both. The dog ate well, I guess. Biggest waste of $50 dollars, and that was just drinking water to get full flavor of the meat. Didn't happen. The wife and I decided that to make sure this didn't happen again, that we need to keep grilling our own and smoking our own ribs to make sure they are done the real cowboy way. And I really don't think either of these 2 locations really care about what they are putting out in the way of quality. This place has sure changed from what they once were. It's very sad, especially with the name Texas on it. It gives Texas a bad name. The server was great, and it wasn't her fault. She brought it out medium rare to the best of her ability for a sirloin steak, which came out medium...
