Drive all the way from the west valley to check this place out after reading some reviews and looking at the great food pics. I brought some of my kids with me to join and get their opinions as well. When we arrived we were let with a bright and open place with a nice bar with some tv’s as well as booths and some tables. There were no employees in sight. There were a few people seated eating, but we stood there for a solid 4-5 minutes wondering if we were supposed to seat ourselves. As I was about to seat myself an employee came from the back, apologetic and took us to a nearby table. She brought us some waters and menus to go over. The menu had so many good options it was hard to decide. I loved they have margaritas flights and such. Today I wasn’t able to try any, but maybe on another visit. My kids all managed to get favorites of things that they like to eat at other spots so so far it was off to a great spot. We decided on the avocado toast, chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy and a burrito ahogado. They all came with sides of either hash browns or breakfast potatoes except for the burrito which was so large it came alone unless you wanted to add extra sides. Food came out fairly quickly, but honestly we were busy talking so we didn’t notice really. Everything looked delicious. The avocado toast was phenomenal. I thought I wouldn’t like the fried onions on top, but everything paired so well and the toast was perfectly toasted and didn’t get soggy. The hash browns were crispy and seasoned well. My daughter really enjoyed her biscuits and gravy. My son loves chicken fried steak and gets it wherever he can, but lately it’s been less than stellar until today. This is partly why I chose this spot because their chicken fried steak has great reviews. He did say it was a lot smaller than most places, but great flavor and not chewy. My son’s burrito was so large he had to take half of it home. He did order it without the pickled onions. I think it could’ve used more sauce on top from my visual Perspective, but he liked it. We all ordered water besides my son who got the fresh squeezed orange juice. Service slowed down while we ate and my son had to drink other sons full water because his set empty most of the meal. The juice was expensive sort no refills so we didn’t have a second. Almost $7. Yikes. There was only one other small group inside as we were leaving, so it didn’t make sense for service to be less than great. My biggest negative honestly had nothing to do with food or service, but the price. For the four of us after tip it was almost $100. For freaking breakfast. No alcohol, not even a soda. Yes some potions are a little big but I don’t think worth the cost. If you’re coming for brunch with a friend I’d recommend, but as a family it’s not cost effective for me anyway. I’d rather go to a nice dinner for that. The server did come around at the end to thank us and offer us waters to go. Vibe was pretty good as I said with a cute instagram worthy wall, bar area with tv’s and nice lighting inside making the place...
Read moreWe’ve come here for a few years and the service/food has always been consistent. On our most recent visit, we were astounded at how poor the experience was. This restaurant sold earlier this year and unfortunately, it was like night and day. We were seated quickly, and our waitress took our orders and brought waters pretty quick after seating. We started to notice that all around us people were getting different food, and at the same time started to notice advertising for Indian cuisine throughout the restaurant. Per the advertising, after 4:30 and the restaurant would serve Indian cuisine. We thought it was an odd combo - breakfast and Indian but didn’t think much of it. Nearly 40 minutes after putting our food in (two simple dishes and one side), our food came out. Looked like it always did, however it was on the colder side of lukewarm. It largely tasted as it always has, however the potatoes were spicier (tasted of Masala) as was the chilaquiles. So the taste was fine, but we were offered a very meager apology for the wait followed by the waitress telling us someone else ordered before us, even though two and four tops seated after us received their food before us.
We used to love this place but the service was below average, the food was subpar and cold, and the wait time was outrageous. Seems like they’re prioritizing their new cuisine over what they’re known for and unfortunately it was very evident. We won’t...
Read moreBEWARE! Please read. This was my second time going to the morning buzz, the first time was actually pretty decent. The food was good, just expensive, so I took my family back. Well, everything was great until our food came. Turns out, they put the wrong order in for me, no big deal. What happened next, was not at all what I expected. My replacement Eggs Benedict came out about 4 minutes after the incorrect dish. If you wonder how that's possible, let me tell you. The english muffin was cold, and chewy, the canadian bacon was also literally cold. They then poured their hollandaise sauce on top and microwaved all of it. At least that's my guess as the temperature was bizzare to say the least. When I asked the server to show the server (it looked like baby vomit, not a breakfast), she apologized and took it away. What happened next was the Manager "Olive" coming over to justify all of this while giving me the nastiest look I've ever seen. It's really unfortunate for the owners, who appear to be really trying. However, as long as they have employee's that truly don't care, they will never make it. I wish I took a picture of it, I was honestly embarrassed for the server having to pretend it was ok. The manager came back to the table after everyon else had finished to drop off a business card (I had requested), but refused to give me a name of a GM or anything. Just said, this is me, so you...
