This is a tough one - it's really like a 3.5/5.
I came here with a friend around 430pm on a Thursday, there was only one or two other people inside at that time. My friend and I were seated inside closest to the street, they have this big door open, it was quite loud. There's a lot of ambient noise on top of the music on top of the regular noise level of a restaurant (it started picking up as soon as we got there it seemed and even more so around 530pm). We moved a couple tables down and that mostly resolved the issue.
They have acceptable prices, the feeling throughout is very modern and hip. There's plenty of TVs for sports, there happened to be an Amazon Prime football game going on at around 5pm~ it started getting quite loud with the game announcer on the speakers, the regular noise of a restaurant/bar as it got much busier, and the street noise since they have this giant door open.
I ordered the grilled cheese with the truffle fries. The grilled cheese was a disappointment, and it's not something that is "hey this is bad please remake this" it's more in the category of this is a poorly designed item that should be recrafted for everyone - it just didn't taste good. However, the fries were bomb diggity (that means awesome). The waitress Jessica was awesome as well, very friendly, attentive, and did an excellent job at making sure we had what we needed. My friend loved his food, he ordered the porch burger with regular fries.
They also have an interesting selection of comfortable seats to choose from, from two different styles of booths, at least two different high chair seating areas, and a couple different sized normal height tables with chairs (circle/square). The bar area is very nice as well, very modern unique feel to it.
The restroom placement is kind of interesting, you walk along the side out the back of the restaurant outside and then its located inside this kind of nook-area, they seemed like nice restrooms just odd placement.
I will come back at some point, it wasn't a terrible experience just wasn't the greatest either - somewhere in the middle. The grilled cheese needs serious...
Read moreWe’ve been here a few times. The first time we sat at the bar and got service in a timely manner- within 5 minutes of being seated. The second time we were sat quickly but didn’t see our server to put in our drink orders until 10-15 minutes. We were only there to grab a drink and one appetizer to share to hold us over until our table was ready next door. Something that should’ve been doable in the time we knew we had before it was time to go. The drinks came in good timing but we waited and waited and waited some more for the appetizer. It never came so we told our server to cancel because we had to go. WHICH BRINGS ME TO OUR LAST AND FINAL TIME WE WILL EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Yesterday we came in and they weren’t busy, but the hostess decided to seat us at a table that still had food scraps and drink spillage on it so we had to stand and wait for her to get the supplies to clean it. Then she leaves, and we waited 20 minutes before our server came to get our drink order. Again. We were just there to grab a quick drink. 15 minutes after the drink order was put in, we still didn’t have our drinks. To make matters worse, what appeared to be the manager in a dark flannel and dark jeans asked the table next to us how they were doing, but didn’t check in on us. Had he checked on us, we would’ve told him we were getting ready to just get up and leave because we were sat and then it took half an hour for us to just get some water and put in a drink order that never came. Oh not to mention the young man who was our server also neglected to check our IDs (not good for training and legal purposes but besides the point). We received no apology for the wait, no sense of urgency for the neglect and so we returned the same when we got the text that our table was ready next door. Up and left with nothing but semi melted water in our glasses because the drinks still had not come. I wish they could clean it up and be more attentive to...
Read moreThe food and drinks are awesome, food came out very fast and large portions making the pricing worth it. My discrepancy is with our service. We arrived sometime around 4 and she got my husband a drink immediately, but getting an appetizer took quite a few minutes for her to place the order. Our servers name was Whitley on the check, she never introduced herself. Anywho, getting an entree order in took what felt like 30 to 40 minutes for her to come back to our table. And not only was I frustrated by the wait, I observed her. She had no more than 4, maybe 5 tables including ours. She would wait in the well for drinks and take them back to the other tables slowly. Not once did she come back to check on us, but went back to multiple computers and would hang back and chat with other servers. I wish we had gotten any other server, as I saw all of them check their tables multiple times in timely manner. Not ours, when Whitley finally got our food order it came out in less than 10 minutes which was nice as I was hungry and really looking forward to a burger all day. It was date night for us and her neglect left me sour. She was very nice, but did not manage her time or tables well. I’ve been a server for 4 years and I also work at a sports bar where you dress cute and cater to people but I never treat my tables like a back thought and I always check back frequently when I make rounds, even if I’m busy and bogged down with 6-11 tables. As much as I love to talk to my guests and coworkers, they shouldn’t be ignored as much as we were. Whitley could have gotten us out faster and gotten another table to make herself more money. I only left 10% when I usually leave 25% or more: The blonde who served the tables next to us was impressive, she was personable, caught every new member joining...
