Went here on a whim. I've never even heard of Topo. I just so happen to be in the area and was feeling peckish. Googled nearby places to eat and found this gem, their menu is small, but I found that simple enough to order the Topo Loco Burrito because of price. I was under the impression it would be small. But to my surprise I got a behemoth of a burrito. Usually I'll take a few bites to make sure I like it since I am weary of new places and order what I've never had before. But these guys I swear cease to surprise me. As I fell in love with a burrito and shoveled down my gullet. I told my fiance about this amazing burrito and I would love for him to try this. So of course I will be going back. My rating for service is not 5 stars do not get me wrong I love short professional service conversations but there was no enthusiasm from the lady who placed my order. It was slow business. And I get working for tip on a slow day can be frustrating but she was very low monotoned speaking which maybe she was unhappy. But besides that 10/10 would recommend and now i have a Topo Loco Burrito addiction Thank you for becoming my new spot...
Read moreI'm only rating Topo at 4 out of 5 stars because I've only tried the Prickly Bear ice cream.
Location: This place just opened up in Old Town Gilbert. It is owned by Joe's BBQ. It is right next to Joe's BBQ. If you find Joe's bbq, you'll see this place. Just to the north of Wiskey Row.
Menu: Topo has both dessert (ice cream cones) and food. I've only tried their soft serve ice cream. It was just ok. Needed more flavor.
Price: Price is $2.50 for a soft serve ice cream which is fair for the flavor.
What I really like about this place is where it's located and the vibe it adds to old town Gilbert. They have a really cool looking beaver sitting at the top of their building. I like that after you have dinner somewhere, or lunch, you can just walk up to this building and order ice cream.
When we went their was a long line but that's probably because it is a new place and everyone wants to...
Read moreTopo is Spanish for mole and this hole in the wall restaurant has one on the roof. After waiting in line for about 15 minutes I finally reached the window where I was greeted by a friendly face at the register, It took her 3 seconds to explain the whole menu to me. They do have a small menu but that small menu packs some HUGE FLAVOR! I selected the topo loco chicken burrito it was incredible. It had fritos, cilantro, elote, hot sauce and i selected chicken but there is also a pork option. I didn't have any room for ice cream but next time I go I will definitely try out the prickly pear soft serve. Don't let the long lines scare you away they move quite quick and it is worth it in the end. I hope to see you soon at Topo Arizona if you ever catch me on their lush green lawn enjoying a burrito at one of many picnic tables be sure to stop...
