Nestled in an unassuming shopping center, Frida's House Mexican Food in Gillette, Wyoming, is an absolute must-visit and has quickly become my favorite spot for authentic and incredibly delicious Mexican cuisine!
From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a beautifully decorated space with a vibrant and prominent Frida Kahlo theme. It's a lovely homage to the iconic Mexican painter, adding a unique and artistic flair to your dining experience.
But let's talk about the food – it's simply outstanding! Everything I've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and truly delicious. My personal go-to is their Tacos al Pastor platter. The juicy pork, perfectly marinated in a lovely spiced sauce with hints of sweet pineapple, is a culinary masterpiece. It comes with a side of authentic refried beans and Mexican rice, completing a perfectly balanced and satisfying meal.
Beyond the Tacos al Pastor, I've also thoroughly enjoyed their fish tacos, the perfectly cooked carne asada, sizzling fajitas, and savory enchiladas. Honestly, there hasn't been a single dish I've ordered that hasn't been fantastic.
The experience is made even better by the wonderful staff. They are consistently friendly, incredibly attentive, and always make sure you feel welcome. I've never had to wait long for my order, and drink refills appear almost magically!
Frida's House is more than just a meal; it's a delightful dining experience from start to finish. I will absolutely be coming back again and again to savor more of their amazing food and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere. Read moreFood is good, the only problem is that whoever made the menu didn't had a talk with the one cooking, (So make sure you double check what you order right at the moment you order, because so far everything in the menu is not what it says, I order 1 plate and they gave me something completely different and when I asked I was told that in they're place things are like that, so yeah definitely next time I'll just go to the lil sesaras across the st, And to the owner; Your food is good but if is not what people ask for it ain't. So yeah don't use platillos names to the food you serve if they don't match, out of hundreds of restaurants I had been I don't remember seen another place selling me chicken for beef and telling me that's beef, come on chicken is chicken and beef is beef period, you can't be selling chicken as beef!!!! I don't live in Gillette and every single time I had come to Gillette I would choose this place but this will be the last one, And btw I have a crew of 7-9 guys that are always with me and now they gonna have to go eat somewhere else, fix that problem so you don't lose more customers, and yes your food is good but it ain't right to sell chicken as if it was beef, very...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing Mexican restaurant! I've tried to get my fix many times across SD, WY & MT with no success. Most restaurants are bland and boring, with much of their food tasting like it was out of a can. That is NOT the case with Frida's. Everything was incredibly fresh. The tortillas, salsa, hot sauce... all homemade. The restaurant itself was exceptionally clean. The bathroom smelled like a pool (in a good, properly sanitized kinda way) and tables were cleaned within two minutes of other guests' departure. My server was incredibly attentive to my needs and checked in frequently. If only there was a location in Rapid City, I would be there weekly. With a two hour drive, I would still consider making a trip every couple of months just to eat here. Do us all a favor and support this establishment. We need amazing places like this to stick around out here on...
