Santa Cruz Bakery — Restaurant in Gilroy

Stopped by this place today for a breakfast burrito, not to get made fun of because I don’t speak Spanish.

I asked what kind of meats the burritos were since the menu was only in Spanish and asked the two girls to please explain in English. They could not and then mentioned several times how dumb I was, in Spanish. What they didn’t know was I understood every disparaging comment they made towards me. No big deal, kinda cracked me up to be honest, however unless you want a mediocre burrito at best topped with a few insults, take a pass.

Yea this is def NOT winning!!!! All the bread looks off and under cooked!!! These horn breads usually are a lot more solid with a pink inside and sugar coating! This thing was soft like bread rolls, hardly any pink and no sugar at all!!! The rest of the bread also are not any better at all!!! The shells hardly have any hard candy ontop! Yea I’d advice to go somewhere else even the bread at the Mexican store across the street is 1000x better. So my daughter got a tamal from this place 3 dollars for a old crusty tamal super dry and the masa was so hard the fork would go through it ... She was so sad cause her favorite part is the masa .... Never buying tamales from this place.... also right away I knew something was off when I seen her face expression of the lady that handed me the tamal when she realized my daughter was going to eat it there ...
