La Vie Dansante Wines — Attraction in Gilroy

We found this winery while on vacation in CA visiting friends. There are lots of options in Gilroy, all a stone's throw from one another. This one topped the list for the relaxing atmosphere with plenty of shade, a friendly proprietor, and excellent wines. My husband loved the Picpoul Blanc, a white that we had never heard of before - and my favorite was Prelude, a lovely smooth red that was perfect even for the hot weather. The winemaker was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer our questions. He seems to have a passion for what he does, and it shows. Our summer vacation brought us to many wineries in the Santa Clara valley. La Vie Dansante was our hands-down favorite! The rustic decor with reclaimed wood and galvanized metal coupled with the friendly, knowledgeable winemaker make for a relaxing afternoon. Indoor seating and outdoor shaded tables make it a great place to picnic with friends - even lawn games are provided. Five stars! Love the wine, love the winemaker (& the winery dog “Noe”), love the new location and the atmosphere! Everyone in Santa Clara county and beyond needs to come check out this hidden gem! They just moved to this awesome new spot and are still producing the same great wine!
