The cashier was very nice. The taqueria was simple, a bit of bar seating along a wall and 3-4 tables and what would a good taco place be without a fùtbol/soccer game or telenovela playing on a 65" TV? It appeared clean and appropriate. I ordered a cheese enchilada a la crate $3.55. I did not look at it before going to my car, I knew to keep the bag flat as the cook(?) placed it on a 7" paper plate covered by foil in a bag with napkins. Plasticware as requested. I sat in my car and the runny sauce was leaking, got out of my car, stood at the trunk and was astonished at how ugly it was. I should have gone back in but I am always embarrassed to complain. It was just awful. I mean really bad. I pulled the foil back and it was already a mess, thin runny sauce that I had asked for a bit extra of. It was a folded corn tortilla with unmelted packaged shredded cheese on top smothered in that runny sauce The taste was overpowering of garlic (love garlic but not what I expect on a cheese enchilada) and was just sheet. Just awful. If the flavor was good it might have been $1-$2 and over priced. I can make better greasy corn tortillas snax at home fried with a bit of cheese and chili powder from McCormicks, better than that. And now sitting here I am going to get in line at Mcdonalda and have soda and hope to burp. I suppose I should have asked for a refund before writing this review but I am self conscious about complaining especially after leaving the shop. So one star, buyer beware, hopefully my...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible. First time ordering from here. I call to order for pick up said I want a burrito and two tacos, the burrito with no onions with carne asada, the tacos one with carne asada the other with el pastor salsa on the side add avocado. I get to the location and the food was ready and I paid and got out. I usually check the items before I leave but I didn’t because I was in a rush. I got home after 20 minutes and checked my items and I notice that they didn’t put the salsa on the side and they never added the avocado to my tacos (they charged me like, $2 for the avocado). Not only that but they made 2 carne asada tacos no pastor. I called back to tell them they forgot to give me avocado and the lady said “oh I know we’re out of avocado” and I asked her “why did you charge me for the avocado then?” And she said “I don’t know”. Like??? If you guys are out of something you should tell the consumer instead of charging them and letting them go on their way like seriously and she was so rude on the phone. Said I could come in to get a refund and I told her I live 20 minutes away and she said “oh”. No apology or anything. Never EVER coming back here. Be aware they’ll charge you for extra and never tell you they never added it. Horrible. I’d give them a negative...
Read moreCame in for the dollar tacos on Tuesday. . If you want carnitas tacos they usually sell out by 6 or 7. Ordered pastor and asada. Meat was not warm at all. I figured they had cleaned the grill already since it was 930 and they close at 10. Tip! Don't expect them to be open till 10. They close about 20 minutes early and will not let you even though their signage says otherwise
Update: haven't been here in awhile but it seems word has gotten around about $1 Taco Tuesdays. Finally saw the line get knocked out and service was fast. Still charging ¢50 automatically for the salad bar which would be cool if they added the salsa to it so it's self serve. I ordered 5 tacos and at the side to pick up food I asked for 4 red sauces. The lady just rolled her eyes and came back with 4 salsas each less than a half full.
Easy fix owner. Keep having your staff continue to make it a big deal asking for sauce, making them pour each cup to serve, have them waste 2 containers (your money) when she could have just filled 2 cups OR make the salsa self serve. Now I'm gonna eat this dry asada that's been sitting in your warmer instead of it hitting the skillet to warm it up before being plated. Someone ahead of me asked for 2 and got both with...
