This Shopping Center was full of stores of all kinds, for almost everybody. I stopped in at the “Smart & Final” grocery store to find out where I could get “Garlic Ice Cream”. Yeah I know, however, if you have ever tried it, or have been to “Gilroy's Garlic Festival” you have heard of it. It is so very refreshing and bright, Anyway, this isn't about that. The Garlic Ice Cream source was found by the help of almost everyone in the store, including the cashiers and manager. For comparison, on the other side of Freeway 101 you've got the Target/Kohls and Costco/Lowes centers, which are much nicer looking and seem less ghetto. If Gilroy wants to turn its downtown into a high-class transit point for high speed rail, they seriously need to consider bulldozing this entire shopping center, along with the Dollar Store complex next to it, and the old, empty Orchard Supply Hardware...
