We ( my girlfriend and I ) went there today 4/20/25, Easter Sunday. My girlfriend had her service with her. We got there and there was an Easter display outside so we stood outside taking a few pictures. Then we walked in with her service dog, the lady greeted us and everything along with one guy sitting at the counter eating his ice-cream. We were in there for about 5 minutes then the lady comes up behind us and tells us there are no dogs allowed because she could lose her food license using some what of an unpleasant tone while doing so. So for one the dog is a certified service dog, not an ESA, has all her papers an a little id card my girlfriend keeps in her wallet. Secondly she saw us outside the front door taking pictures with the dog, she saw us and greeted us coming in with the dog, then let's us walk around the whole store looking at the stuff there, and after about 5 minutes maybe more she comes and tell us to leave. Even after we told her it was a service dog. I hope no one she knows ever needs a service dog for health issues then isnt allowed in places do to that fact, falsely saying stuff how she could lose her food license or they go without there dog and have a medical emergency and dont have their animal with them. Its the first time we have ever been kicked out of a restaurant, sweet shop, or any other store due having her service dog with her. We have been to some really nice restaurants and food stores and no one blinks an eye really. We have had someone ask if she was a service dog and reply yes and then they say come this way and seat us. Most other places dont even really ask anything. If she would have just said something about the dog before or as we walked in, I would have not written this review, we would not have been happy but at least we would not have wasted any time or effort looking for something sweet to eat. Also its mainly just ice-cream and dont have much of a selection besides that maybe 10 flavors and a couple pieces of chocolate. So also if you are looking for a variety of things its probably not the place for you. Its atmosphere is more of a bar and not a sweet shop either. When we walked in it literally felt like an empty bar with on patron sitting with the bartender. I dont think this is what Jesus would have wanted on his resurrection day.......

We visited for the first time today, and I spontaneously asked the owner, Savvy, if she happened to have a drink I remembered from the soda shop of my childhood. She didn’t, and hadn’t ever heard of it. However— this did not stop her from pumping my memories until what she was mixing tasted exactly like what I used to skip down the block to spend my allowance on on Saturdays in the summer! The jukebox works, and while I didn’t taste any of their handmade chocolates, I did notice they had several delightful treats from bygone eras, including Moon Pies, an assortment of stick candy (candy canes without the hook, in flavors other than peppermint) and a wall of Jellybelly beans to mix and match. Thank you for a wonderful time, Savvy! You and your shop were such and unexpected treat, as was getting to taste a Green River (key lime float) again!

My first time visiting Savvy’s Sweets & our experience was great! I am obsessed with the vintage look. My husband and I are huge Coca-Cola fans so seeing a bunch of working Vintage Coke fridges was amazing! The owner was super sweet & kind. The entire place was well kept & clean. My pregnancy cravings we’re satisfied, will definitely visit this cute shop again!

Me and my family visited the Savys on 14th September, which was a very special day because it was my mother‘s birthday and after finding this wonderful location, we thought that it would be a great idea to treat her to the soda fountain bar we were greeted with the owner, which had great Communication service, very friendly and welcoming. In fact she was so kind and offered my mother her milkshake on the house for it being her 57th birthday. We were so pleased with the service that we will be returning with several different family members to make more memories at this location Savys is such a great addition to To downtown Gilroy, as there are not much places that families and children are able to go and enjoy themselves I believe that this is going to be a business that will be around for a long time as Nothing but good blessings their way. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and we were assisted every step of the way throughout the parlor. I would just like to say thank you to the savvy staff and I am sorry for any negativity that may have come Against this location thank you again again for the great friendly service and see you next...
