I have seen this place several times while searching for something to eat. But for one reason or the other it was always closed the days or times I saw it. Well....I FINALLY got to try it not once, not twice not even 3 times. I have eaten there 4 times now prior to writing this review. The food is PHENOMENAL!!!! My favorite thing so far has been something I don't even eat (mashed cauliflower)!!! So so good. I have only seen it as a side once in the four times I have gone unfortunately which brings me to my only gripe about this place. The menu changes daily. So if you really liked something you have to keep checking daily to see when or if it will return to the menu. In the same token that is one thing I love about this place also, the menu changes daily. So I know I am getting fresh food or as close to it as one can come outside of cooking yourself. All the sides I have had are great green beans, mashed cauliflower, Mac and cheese (so good), saffron rice, greens (my second favorite) and cabbage. Of all the soul food spots I have reviewed today this is the only one that offers 3 sides with your main course. You get plenty of food!!!! You will be stuffed I promise (but don't take my word for it check the pictures). In the pictures you should see oxtail, garlic Parm wings, and fried chicken wings. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of today's meal. Go try this place you won't be disappointed. Also they have vegan food if you are into that 😏. Also try the apple pie cookie, simply delicious. Lastly the the in house drinks are good I can attest to the pineapple and strawberry ones I haven't had the others yet.

Couldn't wait to give this place a try! We walked in to a hello from an employee sitting having her lunch in the dining area. The place is very clean, bright & nicely decorated. The young lady behind the register was on the phone taking an order so we wandered around checking out the menu & food behind the counters. There was a vegan side & a non vegan side, a wall of prepared individually wrapped desserts and a refrigerated area of cold drinks. All the drinks looked inviting but were all full of sugar. I wish there were a non sugar or low calorie choice other than water. Ten minutes in and our cashier/waitress was still on the phone. (And no acknowledgment/or hello, I'll be with you shortly) Finally, she was clear...so what do you want was her first comment to us. Disappointing. I asked about the fish, Basa no thank you. I ordered the salmon which included 2 spinach crab stuffed raviolis. It was delicious!! Three sides were included. Candied sweet potatoes, collards & mac n cheese were ALL OUTSTANDING!!! Best we've tasted around, including mine. ☺️The portions were nice to correlate with its $26 price. Hubby chose the fried chicken @$24 with 3 sides included. Garlic mashed(AMAZING), collards & mac n cheese! He ate it all & it was a lot! Yep, we'll be back! I'd love to meet the owner as much respect for her chef skills!

My mom has visited Oliver’s Twist a couple of times since It has opened and I would always try what she got and nibble off of her food. Friday we both went in to see what they had for lunch as the menu changes daily.. and let me tell you It was delicious. We got everything to go so we ate it once we got home. The portion sizes were great for the price as I got 3 sides for $12. Mac & Cheese, Yams and the Kale Collards! They have both vegan and non vegan selections. Today they had two fried fish options the Snapper and Basa as well as another meat option. My mom ordered the Fried fish Combo which was accompanied with 3 sides for $24. They fried the fish to order so it was made fresh and hot. I usually don’t eat fish (well not as often) but I tried my mom’s Snapper and It was sooo good. Crispy yet moist and didn’t need to add anything to It. I wanted more. They also have a great selection of desserts and beverages to add to your order. We received a complimentary dessert so we tried the Lemon cake and the sweet potato cake. Sweet potato is my absolute favorite and that slice of cake was just a tease because I could have ate the whole thing. (Pictured) Definitely try out this restaurant if you’re in the area! Even if you’re not in the area come out and support and get some good food made with love!

8/3/23 Third Trip! Meatloaf, Mac and cheese, scalloped potatoes, yams, and cornbread. Best damn $22 I’ve spent on a meal in ages. If you love soul food, 👍👍! It’s so darn good. Healthy and whole, I just can’t believe how good it is. And my service was fantastic. All three employees I interacted with had gigantic smiles, knew their regulars and treated me so well.

Enjoyed my second meal today and I’ll be back to try more soon.

High Level: This is not a formal sit down full service restaurant but the ambiance and team definitely welcomes family and friends to dine in and enjoy! The menu is limited BUT what they make is super healthy and super good. Pretty darn rare you get to those two things in a sentence together. The prices are on the higher side BUT portions are generous and what do you buy in a store that isn’t expensive because it’s healthy. The food is made with a great deal of thought and dedication which costs money. End of the day I’ll gladly pay more for a dish if it’s worthy and so far everything I have had is worthy. And I’ve tried some things I would never have imagined could be this good (Vegan Beef Ribs, How do you do it!) Their concept is unique and as such will come with its unique quirks. Nobody is perfect and I wish people would really get this it’s perfect or the owners and employees are horrible mentality. That said, these guys have earned their 4.8 and the other .02 really should spend a few days working in the industry… they should also learn to open their mouths and speak up when human beings do human things like mistakes. The owner is such a darn sweetheart I can almost bet she would have charmed you to the other side of the spectrum before leaving… anyways I digress The counter service the girl with a bad review here (Precious name calling, your behavior says a lot about you as a human being Mr. 1 star) was absolutely a doll today for me. Ironically the other guy was off in some zone and not at all outwardly welcoming but he was not rude with me at all either.

I highly encourage you to try this place if your tired of the same old same old! Do pull up their Instagram so you know what’s on todays menu before you go and you’ll have a leg up!

Chef Stacy, was pleasure meeting you and your husband at the Glassboro Business Meeting. As a GM of a local restaurant, I can be overly critical of the local competition. I for one think you are a delightful addition to the neighborhood!! See ya again...

My first time visiting. I don't know how I missed this place as it is "right under my nose" in Glassboro. So conveniently located. Beautiful atmosphere with friendly and informative service. There were several guests enjoying a dine-in option. I selected the General Tso's chkn: great flavor with a brown sauce and a small kick for flavor experience. It comes with sauteed vegetables cooked with the chicken. Sweet with a bit of spice..YES! Secondly I selected a side of salmon w/shrimp. Coated and fried gently, again with a mild sauce and flavor of herbs. Nothing I would change here as the chuncks were a good size and the shrimp nice & big-XL/jumbo in size. My sides: candied sweets, mac &ch and mixed veggies. I like that chef doesn't overcook the vegetables. They have a little crunch but that's what I want-the nutrients haven't been cooked out and the veggies retain some of their firmness. Good flavor in all 3 sides and I can be funny w/my mac&cheese. It had a some sharpness to it which gave it a more intense flavor... I'd definitely order it again. I was surprised to find a vegetable egg roll w/dipping sauce in my platter too! Nothing I tasted was overly salty. There's a variety of desserts:lemon crunch, cake strawberry crunch cake, banana pudding and vegan desserts are indicated with a green dot sticker:brownies, cookies etc. There's a vegan side to order from and a non. Non vegan for me! There was fried rice, potato salad, seafood salad and the waitress told me their menu changes. I will ABSOLUTELY recommend Oliver's Twist. I heard their fish is a top choice so I'll definitely be back....to dine in. Thank you to the staff @ Oliver's twist for a nice first experience. I have pics but this review site isn't giving me options to upload. Everything is nicely presented with vegetable garnishes to add color &...

My wife is vegetarian and I am not. Therefore, we are always looking for a great spot for us both to be satisfied with our meals. We arrived at 1:30 pm and the woman in the front immediately explained that they were changing out trays and that she will be with us shortly. I was super excited because that meant we will be getting the freshest food that they had available. We watched them bring out new trays of food and my wife and I got excited because this was our first time there. The cook in the back was the person refreshing the trays. I heard the two ladies discuss the status of the Mac n cheese, the cook told her that it was in the oven. When I asked the cook how long it was going to be for the fresh Mac n cheese she rudely said "I don't know". I told her that we would wait and she still proceeded to state that she didn't know when the Mac N cheese would be done. The cook is rude and she should stay in the back of the area. I ordered the stuffed salmon with Mac n cheese and sweet potatoes. The salmon was over cooked, salmon should never be as dry as tuna out of a can. On a positive note, although the Mac n cheese was obviously old, it was flavored well and had me wishing that I could have had a fresher experience. My vegetarian wife ordered the Sticky beef(V) with Mac n cheese, broccoli sweet potatoes. She really liked the Sticky beef, and the sweet potatoes were really tasty. We may go back in the late future to see if we can get a different experience but I don't see us spending any money here for sometime. The cook is very rude. I would describe her but I won't embarrass you. Do better with your attitude for the culture! FYI, I still left a tip because I hate when people say that our culture don't tip. It wasn't the Front end woman's fault that her...
