I went with my family around 3:30pm on Sunday 5/24. The Glen Ridge Starbucks has social distancing measures in place, which is good, but the staff did not have a good system for getting completed orders out the door. I was the 4th customer in line and it took me about 10 minutes to get in to place my order. After I ordered I waited outside for about 15 minutes while I watched 25 drinks and 6 bakery items pile up on their serving counter. They only had one employee serving as both a runner and calling out names of completed orders. Even the people who ordered online had to wait in line for at least 15 minutes, with their orders completed, because 1 employee can't both take orders and call out the completed ones that were backing up. The coffee (latte with cream & sugar) I ordered came out with so much cream it was mostly milk. They gave me a replacement coffee at no charge and everything else was ok. Read moreI love starbucks but this was actually the worst experience i’ve ever had and i’m appalled. It was very busy, and my friends and I ordered cafe at around 9:25AM. we ordered food and drinks. It was very busy but we held our patience for about 30 minutes, which is generous. Then we started to get confused. They only prioritized the mobile orders and somehow people who ordered after us got all of their stuff. When I asked an employee to check on my order (at this point I waited for 45 minutes) I got a very rude response from an employee, who snapped at me and said “THAT was not an hour”. Mind you, I said A HALF HOUR. And I asked politely. At this point he knew he messed up because my order was not even in the system. He made my drink wrong, and rudely, meanwhile, I also paid for a sandwich and bagel WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED. Read moreI’ve been to this particular location a few times. My absolute favourite order is a Mango Dragonfruit lemonade refresher. I get it at almost every single Starbucks I go to. so I would say I know how it’s meant to taste and look. I ordered the drink and when I received it, it lacked colour and taste as well. The gentleman working behind the counter was absolutely amazing, so kind and thoughtful. He even apologised when it wasn’t his fault. Once the barista was informed of the situation they pulled their face and tried to just shake it from over but once the barista saw that we could see what they were doing only then was my drink remade and it still didn’t taste like it usually does but I didn’t want to say anything about it after that.
