Sweetberry Bloomfield — Restaurant in Bloomfield

I love Sweetberry. The people that work there are amazing, the bowls are delicious and I love supporting Bloomfield businesses. However, since they reopened during COVID, this location has been price gouging on delivery services up to 50%. The Sweetberry Bowl that costs $10 in-store, costs $15 via Door Dash and that’s before you add any upgrades and fees.

I get that times are tough, but parking can be difficult in that area, and the pricing means that I’m paying more than $20 for an açaí bowl after tip and delivery charges.

For starters, both items ordered were a dollar more than what was on the menu. My friend ordered the wild berry coconut bowl which she said was good (hence the 2 stars). The sweet grass smoothie was way too watery and had no flavor at all. The worse part of my experience was the customer service. When I first walked in, 2 members were just yelling and talking in the back about personal matters. The staff member then came to the front on the phone & remained on FaceTime while I ordered and while she made my order. I experience good customer service during my visit to Sweetberry Bloomfield; employees help me navigate Vegan options then make me a custom PokeBowl with Tofu (barely taste the tofu alone), Mango Bits (which have a smooth texture with a subtle cool freshness), Carrots (more for crunch, a healthy addition), Crispy Flakes (which taste good alone), and the star of the meal is the lemon-vinaigrette sauce (I empty both sauce containers quick, all the sauce on my food).
