Just to throw it out there before I type of the review itself, I typically don’t waste my time or energy on reviewing places even if they were terrible, the only thing that will push me to do so is if the establishment lacks the basic/ respectful customer service that’s commonly mandatory within the food service industry.
That being said, I go to this location pretty frequently seen is how it’s about 5 minutes from my apartment and I prefer Dunkin‘s coffee over about any other coffee place in the area. I went there the Saturday after Thanksgiving around 2:15am to order food and coffee for mu girlfriend and myself on my way home from work. I work pretty late about 50% of the week and have been to this location countless of times around this time and even later, but this time whoever was working the drive thru told me that they weren’t serving any type of breakfast. I asked why, and explained that I’ve always received basically anything I’ve ordered food or drink wise at any time day or night that I’ve been there in the past. (also this location is open 24 hours a day so I don’t see why I’d be getting told that they weren’t making/ serving ANY of the food items on their menu.) The explanation I was given was, “well I’m not sure who did it in the past but at this time tonight we are not serving any type of food.” Then proceeded to get a few giggles. I asked to speak with a manager and received a few more giggles before the reply of, “well I am the manager of the shift tonight and I already told you that food is not being served at this time, now are you going to order anything or are you going to continue wasting both our times in my drive thru?” I just drove away at that point and went to a different restaurant completely and will most likely choose to go to a different location altogether from now on or just make coffee at home.
I worked in the food industry for a little over 6 years at 2 restaurants and if any of the staff I managed had treated/ responded to any customers with such utter disrespect on a shift I was managing and I got to make the final decision then they would’ve been let go immediately. I don’t see how it’s acceptable for a food service employee to treat customers in such a way, let alone A STORE MANAGER. I truly hope that this employee receives some type of consequence in response to this situation...
Read moreI wish I could give zero stars. Why? Well you're in for a story. I have to state, that I'm a long time Dunkin fan, along with being an employee at another facility. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt to sub-par customer service, especially since I know how it feels. But this? This was completely unacceptable. I come into this Dunkin around 8AM. I'm not expecting the happiest face, but not a pure scowl as I walk through the door. I was with my father, and he hadn't decided what he wanted. He quickly asked me a question about cold brew, and our cashier seemed disgusted with his question. Not that she tried to answer or give any form of information on her own. I ordered first. I specifically ordered a large cold brew, with 5 creams and 5 pumps of caramel. She types that down, and I can tell she put the quantity of 5 in the register. I order a bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel, and I am met with confusion, as if I made the most complicated order. My father had a cold brew with regular cream and sugar, and the same sandwich. About five minutes later, we got our drinks, and they definitely looked wrong. My drink usually looks way lighter, and this looked like it had no cream at all. I'll guess it was 2 creams and 1 caramel, which was NOT what I asked for. I hoped the sandwiches would be better, so I could ignore the bitter old dark roast taste from each sip of this coffee I didn't order. I was slightly disappointed. It isn't that hard to make a bacon, egg, and cheese, but the bagel itself was hard. It was 8AM, and these bagels were hard. I know you can't have bagels from the day before, because it would practically be a rock, but this bagel was hard and thin, and so was my father's bagel. I wanted to go to the bathroom before I left, so as I got glared at by the cashier as I walked to the bathroom, I go inside. Clean bathroom, I thought. I thought wrong. This incredibly disgusting bug starts crawling all over the floor. I couldn't BELIEVE IT. So I ran out of there, and was disgusted. Now I'm reading reviews, and there has been rats in the store? So rude workers, bad coffee, incorrect orders, faulty products, SCARY bugs, and RATS. Even though I work at Dunkin in another facility, I'd suggest going to the Starbucks right by this...
Read moreIf i could give no stars i would… Management literally sucks… she doesn’t give breaks to her employees even when they are working more than 8+ hours (my friend has worked 11 hour shifts with not one break to eat or sit down) which is a clear violation of illinois labor laws. She knowingly allows people who are sick to work and handle peoples food. Also, the previous friend i mentioned before was working a shift (one he was covering for someone else) and was called a racial slur at least 10 times and physically threatened twice by a fellow coworker while they were working due to my friend asking her to help them work (the coworker admitted to being sick so she shouldnt have been there to begin with). When the manager found out she dismissed the whole incident because my friend is not black (hes hispanic) and because the instigator of the whole issue was a female. The manager then proceeded to send my friend home and eventually fire them because of this while the female co worker dealt with no penalty and got to remain at work (did i mention this person was sick and handling customers drinks/food?) Idk about anyone else but I refuse to support a business that allows their employees to be treated this way and i don’t understand why they still have this manager working. She is selfish and clearly does not care about who she employs. If i was the owner i wouldve been embarrassed and fed up by now especially based on the other comments...
