Usually Charlie's is a good place to eat, but Latashiea Moore's service was awful. She decided it was okay to openly berate her employee and then take that anger towards myself who did nothing but wait in line to order next. After putting on a happy face for some other customers, she promptly went back to the kitchen to verbally abuse her associate further by harassing her about something she was already doing since her last scolding. Frustrated, she took my order and thrust my receipt at me like I was causing her some kind of grievance, no courteous please or thank you, smiles like she offered anyone else, nothing. Rather than help expedite what seemed to be a lack of progress, she retreated to her office while the person she had previously abused prepared our order with ample fervor and gusto and a smile despite the abuse she had been receiving. She must receive this often if the manager is comfortable enough to do this openly and forward that same negative energy to the customers. What's really interesting is the employee shirt says "kind acts produce an endless ripple", and considering she's at their backs constantly, you'd think she'd stop to let this mantra sink in. Perhaps Latashiea should step down and learn from their workers. A good manager will uplift and encourage, even in a fast-paced environment. The customers and employees will all be better for it. In this case, the employee will feel beat down all day and I'll never want to buy from this location again. I've seen big mistakes happen at other Charlie's, handled extremely well by new management (ownership, it's a franchise) and their fellow New employees. Everyone took it in stride, fixed it, laughed it up, and became better and faster than before. And for that, I enjoy going there. This location just isn't a good place to come and support. Unless you enjoy a side of abuse with...
Read moreWent here to fix a craving for cheesesteak, as I haven't had a decent cheesesteak sandwich in a while. They just opened up in September, and yes, I read the reviews before coming to dine-in. My friend and I ordered combos, which ended up being about $40. The order was a large old-school Philly cheesesteak sandwich, cheese, and bacon fries, with a large drink; which is $1/ refill. Friend ordered a Buffalo chicken combo, regular, with cheese & bacon fries, and got a regular size strawberry lemonade. The food overall was good, no issues with any food being re-cooked or cold. The service was decent, some of the service persons had good knowledge, and others did not seem as knowledgeable. The areas were well cleaned, music choices were great, and they brought back some nostalgia. It's disappointing in an aspect that a person who orders a drink should be allowed at least one free refill and then charge a customer. Instead of charging for refills every time, if someone orders a specialty drink, it is understandable to have a charge; you need to buy a whole new specialty drink. If you order the strawberry lemonade, it is not too sweet or too bitter, if you give your smaller kids a sip or a cup of their own for the strawberry lemonade, please be watchful of the strawberry chunks as they fit through the straws...
Read moreI'm giving this location 2 stars only because they refunded the boneless wings and the bone in wings weren't too bad.
My lady and I decided to stop here after shopping in Walmart seeing as they had boneless and bone in wings. The boneless seemed like they were precooked and left sitting in a warmer, which is how they looked when they were sauced. They were luke warm at best and tough to chew.
The bone in wings were hot, so they were at least double fried I'm assuming since it didn't take too long to get the order. Overall not horrible though.
The fries while were "fresh" were well undercooked and needed to be fried longer. Then you don't even get 1 side of ranch for free with your wings you pay 60 cents for a small side. You can go buy a whole bottle for like 2 dollars more, which is what I'll do next time if we decide to try it again.
Overall it was mediocre at best.
On a side note, please for the safety of your employees remove their full name from the receipts. They don't deserve to have their full...
