I haven't been here in well over 10 years, and might've gone longer, but my friend had wanted to come here. I had forgotten how tiny the place is. You would think the employees would be friendly and inviting for such a small space, but we weren't even acknowledged as we awkwardly stood there a few minutes. I felt like we were bothering them. Also, there is a strong, strange smell, that burned our nostrils, almost like a hair salon would have. I did get used to the smell after awhile. When the order came in, I was pleasantly surprised to find everything to be quite tasty. Dragon roll, Crunchy California, Shrimp tempura, California and mussels all came out fairly quick. Delivered to us in a no nonsense, here is your food, and don't bother me, kind of way.

Overall I felt my experience was okay. The atmosphere is meh (seriously, what is that smell?), the service feels like we bother them, but the food is decent. I may give them another shot, but with many other sushi places in the area, it may take another long while...

The experience was not amazing. We ordered sashimi and nigiri and the fish was lacking any type of real flavor. Although it looked good it really didn't taste like much. The service was also just ok. We had nobody explain the menu to us and the waitress was not super helpful in making recommendations. We didn't know what deals, if any, they had running. We ordered chef's choice of nigiri (8 pieces) and sashimi (12 pieces) and nobody ever explained what each type of fish was. Don't get me wrong, the waitress we had was really nice and to be fair she may have been stressed since she seemed to be the only waitress serving the restaurant.

On another note, it was really off-putting to see so many sexual references on the menu. Maybe it's just me but I don't want to see references like "69" or "orgasm" as names of dishes. Really unprofessional and it makes you understand that this is not a "fancy" place to eat, despite the price tag. We won't be back.
