The Soup of the Day - Meatball Soup was my favorite part of the meal. There was a lot of meat and the broth was delicious. The Chicken Parmesan is so tender that you can cut it with your fork. It was excellent. Even the fresh bread was outstanding.
I got lucky and the Meatball Soup was the Soup of the Day again. This time I got a bowl instead of a cup. Was it as good as I remember? Yes, very much so. Maybe better because I had a larger portion to enjoy. The Chicken Parmesan was also just as delicious and just as tender.
My third visit was another great meal. We had a young lady named Mayra as our server. She was incredibly attentive, very sweet and provided great service. Her service made the fantastic meal better.
Todays meal was the "Mama's Favorite" which consisted of Fettuccini Alfredo, Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan. I added an extra Meatball and a Spicy Italian Sausage with the meal. The meal was huge. I took half home. The Lasagna was amazing, the Chicken Parmesan fantastic again and the Fettuccini really good. This has definitely become my favorite Italian Restaurant.
I went a different route today and tried the Spicy! Chicken Dynamante. It was really good. I enjoyed it, however it was definately more of a pasta dish than a chicken dish. If you like a little spicy and pasta this is a dish fot you. If you are more of a carnivore there are better options. I would guess there was maybe 1/2 of a chicken breast in this dish.
Both the Pork Rib Diavolo and the Pork Rib Parmasen were delicious. They are both great options at this outsanding Italian Restaurant. I must admit I think I preferred the Parmasem Ribs, they were more moist than the Diavolo with the dry rub, but again they were both tender and delicious.
Upon retuning to Phoenix I called today to see if the meatball soup was on the menu. Lùckily it was. I came in and got the all you can eat soup and salad. The garlic bread was fantastic, a good salad with delicious bleu cheese dressing and my favorite soup. What an...
Read moreA friend and I came here for a couple drinks on a Friday night. We sat at the bar as we were not getting food. The bartender, Cathy, was beyond rude to both her coworkers and customers. We in total had three drinks and one mixed shot each. I did not see the first round of drinks made, but I watched her deliberately pour half the normal amount of alcohol in both the second and third drinks. I didn't say anything the first time I saw it because I found it hard to believe, but after the next one there was no question - she was even looking back at me to see if I noticed. When she was about to bring us the check, I said something about it and she actually said "yeah well you didn't notice for three full drinks", to which I said that I had seen her do it on the second drink but not said anything, saw her do it again with the third drink, and now I am saying something. She was dismissive and I asked if she was planning on charging me full price, to which she said she gave us a double shot when we didn't order a double. The shots she gave us were on the bigger side, but that doesn't mean they were stronger (they were green tea shots so she could've just added more sprite - they certainly didn't taste strong) and even if they were doubles it doesn't equate to the alcohol she charged us for but didn't serve us! I was in shock; I am also non-confrontational to a fault and she was the opposite, very abrasive and confrontational, so we just paid and left. We will never be going back, not for food or drinks. She made it clear she doesn't like her job or customers so surely we won't be...
Read moreWe’ve been long time patrons of Tagliani’s. We’ve celebrated many birthdays and milestones here over the last 20 years! So it was easy to pick this place for my birthday. We were so disappointed in this last visit that we will not be back. Ever. The fact that it was 6p on a Saturday night and the place was almost half empty should’ve been our warning sign. The service was excellent but it could not make up for the superiorly bland food. Salt wasn’t enough to bring any of the flavors out. I ended up trading my $27 lobster Mac and cheese to my kid for his Italian sandwich; it was so bland (I even tried to church up the leftovers at home to no avail). We also had the caprese bruschetta which was just a bowl of basil, cheese and tomatoes covered in balsamic vinegar and olive oil that tasted watered down. It used to be a beautiful spread. The oil on the table didn’t taste like olive oil but like it was cut with vegetable oil. One person ordered manicotti and was sick all night. And to top it all off, the garlic bread was soggy. I’m not sure what has happened but it’s very obvious that the quality of the food has dramatically declined. If you’re debating on an Italian restaurant, I would remove this from your options. We spent way too much money for less than Olive Garden quality. We chose this place because it’s family owned and we love to support them over corporations; however, the subpar food isn’t worth the time, effort and money,...
