I WAS WITH A NEIGHBOR WHO WAS QUITE HUNGRY FOR "MEXICAN FOOD" FOR DINNER. HER USUAL GO TO RESTAURANT WASN'T "OPEN" AFTER 2 P.M. ON THAT DAY. SO, WE HEADED FOR FEDERICO'S. NEITHER OF US HAD EVER BEEN IN THIS PLACE BEFORE, SO, WE WERE "HOPING" FOR "SOME MIGHTY GOOD-TASTING GRUB"! "IT MEASURED- UP: "EXTREMELY HIGH" FOR ME; WHY?"
THIS IS THE VERY FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, SINCE MOVING BACK HOME TO ARIZONA, IN 1985: "I, ACTUALLY, COULD EAT AND ENJOY THE REFRIED BEANS THAT CAME WITH THE MEAL"! I USUALLY HAVE TO SCRAPE THAT "ITEM" OFF INTO A TRASH CAN BECAUSE IT'S USUALLY, SO LOADED WITH "SALT" TO THE "MAX"! Edit: On last visit, ordered 5 rolled tacos with cheese, same lady rang up "5 tacos with cheese and guacamole," then hit "NO GUAC," which ended up charging me an extra $0.70 The photos I posted, in the middle column labeled "tacos," you can see that with just cheese it's $4.29, with cheese and guac it's $4.99
The food was great, and if I have to say so, I'd say this Federico's has the most fire hot sauce! So delicious, and so hot, my eyes were watering the whole time I was eating my food! It was great!! So this three star review has nothing to do with the quality of the food and the taste, it has to do with the cash register lady. I guess she decided to have some social time while I was placing my order, and right in the middle of me placing it. I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent dining experience at your restaurant. I ordered the Chilaquiles, but what arrived at my table was just a bowl of salsa and chips. While the eggs on the Chilaquiles were good, the rice was dry and the beans were way too salty.
To make matters worse, I also ordered a carne asada burrito that was served cold and had to be reheated. The sauce packets that were provided were sticky and had to be rinsed off before I could even attempt to open them. For a restaurant that prides itself on being a "Mexican restaurant," this is embarrassing.
Even my husband, who is African American, can make better Mexican food at home. I expected much more from your establishment and was left feeling extremely disappointed. I hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and that you will take steps to improve the quality of your food...
