I came here to get food like I have many other times before but I guarantee this was my last!!! I have a ESA which is an emotional support animal and is recognized by the ADA as a certified service animal. No he does not wear a vest or collar which is by choice and I don't choose to be labeled as a disabled person because of anxiety. The woman who works here told me I could not bring him inside and I had to leave and when I stated to her he is a service animal she then asked me to see his papers since he was not wearing a vest. Thats like me asking to see her papers because she wasnt wearing an american flag as a dress. Now I don't have a problem with this, however FEDERAL LAW states that I do NOT have to present and privately owned business who serves the general public with any documentation. The only legal questions they are allowed to ask is if he is a service animal and what service he performs for me. When I told her this she became very rude and abrasive and told me that this is a restaurant and I need to prove to her that he is a service animal and if I didn't I needed to leave so when I did try to show her my documents she ignored me. I never once asked to see her documents.... ha and I have video of the whole events and her telling me that I could not have my SERVICE animal there unless I proved it with documents. And in case you didn't know.....The law states:
§ 35.136 Service animals (f) Inquiries. A public entity shall not ask about the nature or extent of a personâs disability, but may make two inquiries to determine whether an animal qualifies as a service animal. A public entity may ask if the animal is required because of a disability and what work or task the animal has been trained to perform. A public entity shall not require documentation, such as proof that the animal has been certified, trained, or licensed as a service animal. Generally, a public entity may not make these inquiries about a service animal when it is readily apparent that an animal is trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability (e.g., the dog is observed guiding an individual who is blind or has low vision, pulling a personâs wheelchair, or providing assistance with stability or balance to an individual with an observable mobility disability).

Read moreSo, it's disappointing to say bc lunch and dinners have been close to 5 star in every category. I ordered a Bacon breakfast burrito and added potatoes đĽ I asked the female at the drive thru speaker if the potatoe they use was French fries or real potato (papas), to which she answered that they use real potatoe. please don't make me explain the difference. Papa's to a Mexican like myself is sliced up potatoes in typically 1/2 in. pieces, then thrown in an oiled pan or grill, cooked until fork tender with a nice medium brown sear. Any Mexican family knows this to be the fact. So why would a seemingly intelligent mexican female and cook take a raw potato, use a machine to make shoe string fries out of it, steam the potatoes to where they are half raw and tasteless, and actually use them to serve the public? Laziness? Bad attitude? Inexperience? Or a little bit of all three? I am đŻ % sure that neither of these employees serve their friends and family potatoes prepared like this.
Do we need another pandemic to remind us all how fortunate we are to be employed?? To own a business??
My suggestion to the owner is don't take for granted these privileges, bc they are not rights. And sit down with your employees and find some way of bringing your breakfast prep to the same quality your lunch and...
Read moreAll the awesome reviews this place gets just don't make sense to me. I wonder if these people were paid for reviews or have even bothered to try all the smaller shops and stands in this neighborhood. Nearly all of them serve the same or better food for less money.
I've been taking my lunches at federico's for nearly two decades and frankly, they've always been pretty good about delivering a decent meal for a relatively reasonable price up until recently.
I've stopped eating here because what was once a delicious $6 carne asada burrito in 2006 is now a $18 mess. This was not a one time occurrence, its pretty much been mediocre for the past several months.
Their food isn't terrible, but its just not worth the money anymore. A single relatively average burrito should not cost $18... I can get the same or better burrito for $10 (nearly half the price) from several other nearby shops. And for $18 I can sit down for a proper meal served by a waiter at Denny's or IHOP.
it's not bad food, it's just not nearly worth the price anymore.
There's two new taco shops that've popped up nearby that I now go to daily. doubt i'll bother going back to...
