The manager is completely unprofessional, and not fit to run a Warhammer store
To start off, the store is DIRTY. He can’t mop the floors but once a week, and it gives the whole place a grimy feel, especially during the winter months. His windows are smudged/dirty most of the time, and the tables that people paint at are grimy and not taken care of. It overall makes the store feel gross and dingy.
The primary issue of the store is the cliquey, unprofessional way he treats his customers. I have heard him bad mouth non-regular customers after they leave, describing them as “boring” and “dull” and “stupid” to the regulars. He will act frustrated for people asking him simple questions about the hobby, and will scoff and denigrate them after they leave. He can also act rude to their faces, ignoring them as he sits at his spot at the table and paints his personal miniatures.
He also treats his regular customers badly. I walked in one day to pick up paints and he was being rude to this young 16 year old kid who was asking him questions. Just ignoring him, telling him to “shut up” and saying it was a “bad day when he talked to me”. He seems to have those he favorites, and those he doesn’t, and those he favorites he talks to almost like a cliche high school jock squad, all inappropriate inside jokes and bathroom humor. Those he doesn’t favor get scoffed at, made fun of, and ignored. Couple that with the things they actually talk about including racist, sexist, and overall disgusting topics, it makes the overall store feel incredibly unwelcoming to newcomers in the hobby.
I cannot recommend this store to anyone in the hobby, especially newcomers, and I’ve been in the hobby 15 years. I will no longer be giving the store my business and I hope I will dissuade some people from giving the store manager any...
Read moreI absolutely love this place. Nick runs a great store. He happily answers questions, and makes all customers feel welcome. He has created a great community of players that is inclusive, friendly and welcoming to all players, new and veteran. Nick is also great about giving customers transparency about orders, especially with logistics issues that can impact any retailers due to COVID-related delays.
Weekdays are best for people new to the hobby to stop by and learn about the games that Games Workshop offers, especially their flagship products of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, and Warhammer 40,000. He gives you an introduction to the hobby, including teaching you how to paint a miniature, and play the games. I personally suggest calling ahead to see about scheduling a time to check it out.
Weekends are typically very busy. Lots of shoppers, as well as lots of players and hobbyists enjoying themselves. If you want to see games in action, or even want to join in the fun, the regulars there will always make you feel welcome. If you are hoping for a pick-up game and don't have an opponent, call ahead, as many players would be happy to volunteer to play.

Read moreI’m brand new to the hobby, I’ve only got a starter kit of the models and I’m still not great at painting them either. I went to this store and was expecting it to be empty and run by a guy who had no idea what warhammer was. But when I walked in I found a handful of friendly people playing Sigmar and 40k and the first thing the employee asked was what I came for and if I needed any help in a very friendly tone. He also helped me decide how to best improve my army and I was able to play my very first game there against one of the other customers who was very friendly about the mistakes I made and even the employee jumped in once or twice to help out when he could. By the time they closed I felt very comfortable in the store and the employee even gave me a little decal sheet for my models to help me get started. I wish the store didn’t close at 7 and wasn’t so far, I loved being there. My only problems are that it’s very small and kinda tucked...
