Ricardo's Taco Tuesday
Overall, everything was very fresh. Pricing for Taco Tuesday was great. I appreciate the free salsa bar. I appreciated the double wrapped soft tacos. All tacos were very full. All cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, and pico were cold, crisp, and fresh. My husband really enjoyed the chips and the hard shells.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
Salsa Bar -Jitomate- mild, red, fresh, not very chunky, cilantro was tasted in a good way, I would have liked it to be chunkier -Green- medium, was not spicy but was fresh, herby, tart, went great on fish Taco, and my favorite -Ricardo’s- medium, orangish, didn't care for and unsure how to describe -Caliente- hot, red, had a nice black peppery taste to it -Torito’s- extra hot, green, didn't seem hot at first then three bites in, the spice was a sneak attack, in a good way -Hot carrots were cut into large, thick circles, nicely marinaded, spicy but not too much, soft but with a nice crunch -Seasoned onions, I thought I got but apparently didn't -Limes were nicely tart -Grilled onions were nicely cooked and soft while still having a nice crunch, I could eat -Fresh Iced Tea, tasted like Lipton and was cold and fresh
-Chips were crispy, nicely salted, a great thickness to dip in salsas or guacamole -Hard shell shredded beef needed salt, was a bit bland, but once I got to the salt, cheese, lettuce, and medium green salsa it was very good -Hard shell shredded chicken was inedible, the chicken was so dry my husband had a hard time swallowing it, although he said he liked the flavor, I thought it tasted like cardboard -Hard shell veggie was basically a bean taco, which I enjoyed with some salt -Soft Fried Fish was my absolute favorite, two nice size pieces of fried fish, fresh cabbage and pico, along with really good white sauce. I added a little lime and green medium salsa, split into two tacos since it was double wrapped. I would come back for this for sure. I'd ask for sauce on the side to keep the fish crispy and I'd ask for more sauce since it was so good. -Birra Street Taco was oddly sweet but ultimately my husband's favorite -Consume was oddly sweet, a bit bland but not bad
I'm sure we...
Read morei almost didn't go in here, it was after seven already, some of the reviews made it seem like i might not be the most welcome but that was not my experience. the lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful. she helped me order the burrito i wanted the way i wanted it. was patient while waiting for me to figure out if there was anything else i wanted. after i ordered she came out and showed me the salsa bar and told me about the different ones. i got around half way through my chile relleno chimichanga when i thought i better stop before i explode. it was so delicious i ended up finishing the whole thing (i didn't explode). i probably shouldn't have had the veggie taco first, except it was also very good a i am glad i tried it. and i thought there is no way i can eat the churros but they were so good i couldn't stop myself. i got so much good food i could barely finish it and i didn't spend any more than i would have...
Read moreSome of the BEST Mexican food I have EVER ate in Arizona. I got Carne Asada Fries.. and all the food was fresh. It came with so much guac and asada.. they also added in beans I usually don't like beans at all in my fries but they didn't substitute it at all for the meat.. the fries were loaded! The Pico was great. And for all the people saying there food was cold and it was expensive then they obviously don't eat good Mexican food.. things such as guac and sour cream that they put on makes the food colder and there's nothing they can do about it. Warm runny quac and sour cream is not good so dont complain that your food is cold because you're getting fresh igrendients. As for the price i haven't found a place yet to have as much food as I got for the value of my meal and I eat at different Mexican food places at least 2 to 3...
