According to another reviewer, this mom-and-pop restaurant has been in business over 35 years. Inside the restaurant is clean, very nicely decorated, pride in ownership is apparent. The owner may have a touch of OCD. The lady came out from behind the counter to square up the pile of menus, after I had shuffled through them. The tables and chairs are arranged and policed, to maintain perfect formation, as were the meticulously aligned condiments on the tables. As we were leaving, the owner wasted no time to correct the miss alignments we had caused at our table. Up by the door, an attractive little pond surrounded with live plants and colorful decorations. No coy fish. Instead, in the pool coins glisten. Evidence of many past wishes made. The ambiance and décor of this little Chinese restaurant feels relaxing. Maybe even a little classy. Check the pictures.
And then there is the cheap ass flimsy plastic tableware, used to eat your meal out of a Styrofoam container. If you get your meals to go, you don’t care. A plate with metal tableware would improve the in-restaurant dining experience logarithmically. Minimal service. Order at the counter. Fetch your drinks and flimsy plastic fork yourself.
The food was excellent. We had the Hunan Chicken. Fresh vegetables, with a generous serving of flash fried chicken breast chunks, all covered in a magnificent tasty brown sauce. Yes, it was good!
5 stars if you get you food to go (you already knew you were going to have to eat with that flimsy plastic fork.) 4 stars if you eat in. Having to eat your food out of a Styrofoam container, in this nice little restaurant just doesn’t feel right.

Read moreI don't usually rate restaurants, but it's hard to find good, fast, take-out Chinese, in a clean establishment that has a nice ambiance. China Cafe is my new go-to place!! First off, they have a nice custom menu, not the generic one-pager that most Chinese places must download from the internet. And it has a nice selection with some speciality items and variations, especially of Lo Mein, not typically offered in other places. I will say that I'm not a big fan of the thickly breaded Sweet and Sour Chicken and the standard pink sauce that goes with it. Which is what all the places have, and what theirs is also. I wish they would lightly bread and pair with a slightly less pink and sweet sauce, but then again I don't order it, my husband does and he seems to enjoy it the way it is. What I do order is the Chicken and Brocolli and I thought it was great. I could recognize all of the ingredients including the all white meat chicken, and the veggies weren't overcooked! The sauce was light and I really enjoyed it. We also ordered beef Lo Mein and it was flavorful and a hit with everyone. The Sweet Puffs were okay, I would have preferred a little more sweet, but can't really complain because most places overdo the sweet. Loved the Vegetable Spring Roll. You should give this place a try, I'm...
Read moreSo the food was mediocre, and the service was not friendly at all. The plasticware was cheap plastic, the forks were Bendy. The drinks were in Styrofoam cups and every time you wanted a refill you had to ask for ice there were no plates in a Styrofoam container. And there was one way into the dining area because it was blocked off by chairs so there was no way somebody could run out if there was a fire in a hurry you also had to throw away your own Styrofoam container and normally fortune cookies are free when you pay , they were $.25 each . So in essence, I gave the service a one star the food, one star and the atmosphere two stars just so you know this is the first time I’ve eaten here I will never...
