A hidden gem that glad we tried.
It's tucked away in a strip mall just off the main road through Glenwood.
The decor is very vibrant with a lot of booths.
The menu offers Salvadoran and Mexican cuisine with a whole page dedicated to seafood options.
The service was spectacular throughout with attentive staff. Our waitress was Jenny and she was great.
My wife had the cheese enchiladas and I tried the large combination with ground beef taco, relleno (soft) and chimichanga (Christmas style with red and green sauce)
The plates they serve your food on are huge and both our meals came with rice and beans (so tasty) My combo came with a side of spicy sauce (homemade for certain)
I also had a Michelada which is served in a large mug and your choice of beer. I opted for Tecate. Very good and extremely reasonable at $10
Would definitely recommend...
Read more"Top Shelf" Margaritas are horrible! They taste like a cheap pre-mixed margarita you get for $1.50 at the liquor store. I don't suggest getting the carnitas, they are like bad tasting chicharròns. The "combination" burrito with asada is like a bean burrito, smothered in a green sauce which tastes like it came from a can. The chimichanga is tiny like what you would find in the frozen isle of a grocery store. We used to absolutely love this place but this time we were really disappointed. Maybe they changed ownership...? On the upside the staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave us a free dessert which is a very nice gesture but that doesn't offset the $15 plate i couldn't bring myself to eat and the $10 margarita i couldn't...
Read moreFood was fantastic. We stopped here for lunch after exiting I70 and heading towards Hwy 133/McClure Pass. (I decided to take the scenic route to Delta, which was THE best decision, so beautiful). We were going to eat at McDonald's but saw this place in a strip mall behind Mickey D's and said why not. I had the best sopes ever! One chicken, one beef. They were so crispy, fresh and meat was very well seasoned. Husband had empanadas. Also very crispy and seasoned well. Service was very good and staff friendly. Pretty inside, felt like I was in Mexico. I've never photographed my food before, but it was presented so well I couldn't resist. Cinco...
