As someone who worked for Denver mattress for 3+ years while I was getting myself through college. I feel there is no one better to leave a review for this company. I have been to more than a dozen stores as both an employee and now a consumer after years of no longer working there. Believe me with I say that this is one of the most heartless good ole boys companies all built on the rouse of being a âlocally-grown and owned companyâ. For brevity I will just explain my interaction with this store rather than my outlook on the company as a whole. My request was simple, I walked in said âhey I used to work at Denver Mattress, I am moving here in town and would really love if you could supply me some boxes as I know from my time here that you guys get more boxes than youâd ever need for anything store relatedâ I get back a âyeah of course! My warehouse guy isnât here today but please feel free to call back tomorrow when he is here and we can set that right upâ cool no problem. Next day arrives and I call the store and speak to a different individual. I explain the conversation I had the day prior and he says âlet me check with my managerâ wait on hold and he says âyeah Iâll have to talk with my warehouse guy but feel free to give us a call tomorrow to see what comes in on the shipmentâ no problem. Call the following day and speak to the same store manager I met and he says âyeah we can set that up no problem, come on in tomorrow and we will get you taken care ofâ I arrive the following day and speak with Jesus who is the same person I spoke with on two occasions. 1. I can tell he doesnât recognize me whatsoever and 2. Clearly has not done anything throughout our 4 days of communicating to try and get boxes at all. We find the warehouse manager who just happens to be setting up furniture for the showroom and have some boxes next to him from the process. Jesus exclaims âoh yeah! Here are your boxesâ obviously a lie but hey whatever boxes are boxes and beggars canât be choosers. The uncomfortable part comes after he then says âhey now Iâve scratched your back, can you scratch mine?â I worked here so I know where he is going with this. I tell him âyeah Iâll definitely leave you guys a review no problemâ he responds âOH WOW! You know how to do it though?â âyeahâŚ. Go on Google and leave the review thereâŚ? Or did you guys change the process?â âOh yeah well I just always have people who get confused by the process and donât leave the reviewâ âlook man I promise Iâll leave you a reviewâ he then asks if he can use my phone and leave himself a review to âshow me how to do itâ. I donât really have time to answer and am over the interaction at this point so I pull out my phone so I can show him I am leaving a review. I am not exaggerating when I say he takes MY phone out of my hand and types a review himself. Hands me back my phone and we leave. This is nothing against Jesus I am sure heâs great but this interaction speaks more about the company as a whole where they want to project this image of goodness and customer service so badly that they force their salespeople to attain a ridiculous amount of positive Google reviews. This then makes the salespeople feel pressured to do things like this and just leaves you feeling slimy and awkward. I urge anyone reading this to go anywhere else to shop for beds as well as furniture. Working at this company was like being involved in a cult. People managing this company are the most brainwashed heartless and two-faced individuals that I have ever worked with in my life.
It would have taken maybe 2 minutes to actually go to the back and get some boxes for someone who would have gladly left a great review if they had even done the bare minimum and BELIEVE ME I know how much downtime everyone at these stores haveâŚ. Now I have to sit here and type this out in hopes other people will not have to deal with this soulless company driven by greed and coercion. If you need furniture go to the re-store down the road. It is one of the best in the country with workers who...
Read moreI did it everyone! I reached the ripe old age of 37 before I had to buy my first, real, adult mattress that is brand new and not âgiftedâ to me from an ex-boyfriendâs parentsâ dank attic. Financially speaking, I wasnât quite ready for this milestone in life but, alas, the unique combination of ongoing daily back pain and the discovery of mold in my memory foam topper were the convincing factors in finding myself at Denver Mattress on a Wednesday night. I was greeted with a very cheerful manager named Sebastian Frank and together we turned lemons into limoncello. Frank, a true professional, didnât bat an eye when I showed up an hour before closing time with my own pillow and pumped full of caffeine from my Celsius drink 100% gung-ho on finding the mattress of my dreams. Iâm more of a get-it-and-get-out kind of gal and I think Sebastian sensed that, yes, I definitely meant serious business⌠but that I also couldnât wait to go home and watch Netflix. Lo and behold, the very first mattress he took me to was THE ONE and the other 10 mattresses we tested after that couldnât compare. Shout out to Sealy Posturepedic for making their Plus Hybrid High Point Firm Mattress. 10/10 would highly recommend - especially if youâre a back sleeper like me. Did I drop a pretty penny of this mattress? Yes. Yes I did. I wouldnât skimp on my mattress (not at this age) like I wouldnât skimp on my dental care. Sebastian almost had me sold on the adjustable base that sits under the mattress - though I fear if I had one I would be a little tooooo cozy. And Iâd inevitably find myself the star of some TLC reality TV show about people who are addicted to their bed and their whole lives revolve around never leaving it. Also, if youâre going to invest in a new mattress, do yourself a solid and shell out that little extra for the new pillows and sheets. A new mattress is an experience that must be fully experienced - everything brand new, if only for a moment, feels SO luxurious. I did end up having to wait about 12 days for the mattress to ship, but I was not willing to compromise and would not settle for less than Goldilocks-style âjust rightâ. Wow was the wait worth it! No exaggeration - I slept 21 hours straight the first night after my Sealy arrived. Itâs just impossible to comprehend how terrible your old mattress is until you spend one night on a quality, well-made bed. In conclusion⌠Sebastian Frank is your go-to guy for some adult excitement in the bedroom (as evidenced by attached photo) - and this mattress shopping experience was about as exciting as it gets at this age, letâs be honest!!! (No but seriously best experience hands down. Iâm a happy, happy customer and my poor back is...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of working with this fantastic team to custom order a couch for my living room. After being diligent and making several trips to the store, I finally decided on a Jonathan Lewis custom-made couch.
After an 8-week wait, the couch arrived and was set up in my living room. Unfortunately the wrong sofa was delivered, and initially, I felt quite disappointed as it didnât fit my space as I had hoped.
When I reached out to the store for assistance, I learned that the staff member who initially helped me was no longer there. However, I was encouraged to connect with a manager. I spoke with Jesus, who was very understanding and invited me to come back to the store to address my concerns.
During my visit, I expressed my feelings in a constructive manner and inquired about possible solutions. I then spoke with the new manager, Keiton, who was incredibly professional. She explained that given the unique nature of custom furniture, she would need to consult with her regional manager to explore options that would work for me.
I was pleasantly surprised when, within 24 hours, I received a personal phone call outlining several options, including a full refund, a significant discount on an item from the floor, or a custom configuration that would suit my needsâalong with a complimentary ottoman!
After careful consideration, I opted for a new piece of furniture along with the free ottoman. I was also fully refunded for the misordered couch.
Keiton Klein and Jonathan Grant went above and beyond with their kindness, understanding, and exemplary customer service. Their dedication to resolving my issue turned a frustrating experience into a positive one.
In the end, I walked away with a stunning, comfortable piece of furniture, an additional free ottoman, and exceptional customer service throughout the process.
I wholeheartedly recommend shopping here; they have certainly earned my future business for any home needs.
Thank you, Keiton, Jonathan, and Jesus, for your outstanding service and for ensuring I was well taken care of despite the initial mix-up. Remember, treating others with kindness always brings...
