MISSION BBQ — Restaurant in Gloucester Township

This is what real service feels like! Went to this location and am completely hooked. From the time you walk into the door you are treated like esteemed guests. We had a woman named Alexis come out and explain how the menu works. She was super kind and well informed. The food came out and we were blown away. Great bbq flavor shining through all the meats. Brisket was super tender and juicy. The honey bbq shrimp was a showstopper. Good quality shrimp cooked to perfection and lightly glazed with sauce. Absolute Fire. As we ate we got to know Cole. He was super courteous and attentive. In between cleaning up other tables he routinely checked in to see if we needed refills or what our favorite sauces were. Another great service. All in all what makes me wanna come back is the fact that everyone I spoke to loved what they do. You can feel it in the restaurant and taste it in the food. The cashier was rude and judgemental. I have a 4 year old boy. Very adventurous, lots of energy, and sometimes he loses sight of his restaurant manners. Since I know this i thought It would be a good idea to take him back to the car (we were getting takeout, anyway.) and wait for my fiancee and daughter to come out with our order. Apparently I was in the wrong in the cashier's eyes because she gave me a dirty look and made it obvious she had her thoughts and opinions on my parenting. It was either allow him to run through the restaurant and disrupt people who were dining, or simply take him out of the restaurant and go about our day. There was no need for the judgement from someone who is suppose to be PROFESSIONAL and who looks to be 19 and probably without kids or experience with young children. I love mission BBQ as an establishment & what they represent as I've had family members who served.

But did not have a pleasant experience at this specific location. I have visited twice now and both times the food they serve doesn't taste as it usually does at other locations.

The pork doesn't have the same consistency & taste, the Mac & cheese also was lacking specific taste.

Not that I like writing bad reviews, but this location I would skip & take the extra 10 minutes to drive over to the Deptford location where I'm sure you'll get a meal you will love.

This location is still new so considering that I'll give it a few more chances since it's more local for me, but so far, the quality is lacking here, not sure if it's the workers or the food...
