Hobby Lobby — Local services in Gloucester Township

Selection is great. And I was able to find what I was looking for. However, I only give a 3 star because of the experience. There were sales signs everywhere. The aisle where I found the product I ended up purchasing had "50% off" signs throughout the aisle saying paper products and gift bags were 50% off. The product I purchased was a bag made of paper and plastic and was found hanging next to the sign that advertised 50% off. But when I went to purchase it, I found it was not on sale. When I questioned it, the clerk basically told me I didn't read the fine print correctly. Then she said by gift bag it means the one with the handles (the ones I ended up purchasing was ziplock). In the end I left purchasing the product, but also left with the impression that my intellect was not high enough to understand deceptive advertising practices and legal jargon. There was no empathy as to how a reasonable person could have been confused with the advertisement sign and it's deliberate placement next to items that were not on sale. I understand that an employee doesn't have the authority to put things on sale or not, but they should be trained to deal with empathy to...

I just moved to the area and found this location I have been going to the one in Cherry hill I visited the store yesterday and was treated like a criminal . I was looking for a key holder for my wall There was only one left it was on the sale rack so I selected it I went to pay for that and other items The customer service person saw that the red sticker was 4.99 called over another person and then began to imply that perhaps I had stuck the sticker with the lower price on the item The other cashier looked closely at the item and saw that it was defective that’s why it was marked down. I had lost my voice so did not have the ability to express myself. It was so embarrassing and not what you expect from an organization that contends to proclaim Christ.

I didn't even get to go to hobby lobby to shop. I was berated by an employee named Judy at about 5:40pm on 9/28/22. Asking a simple question so that I didn't have to make a 30 minute drive and was told that she "didn't know" because "there's hundreds of fabrics and she isn't going to go look through them". Mind you, I only asked the estimated cost per yard of the cheapest/cheaper fabric she knows of, in the color black. She yells "I DONT KNOW" and then proceeds to say, "We have some for $9, $8, $6, $5... I don't know." Ms. Judy... That would mean that, to your knowledge, $5 is the cheapest you have. A simple answer to a simple question.

I usually love Hobby Lobby, but clearly one should steer clear of this one. Weird energy, Ms. Judy. I'm sorry if I caught you on a bad day. 👎🏾
