March 16th we called and asked if they could accept a party of 10. It was a little family get together for a family member who passed and we had our in-laws in from another state. We were told they don’t have a table for 10 but they could put us at 2 tables next to each other so we went. No big deal. When we got there the hostess manager was so incredibly rude refusing to accommodate us. She kept saying we don’t seat parties of 10 even after we explained we called. She was so embarrassing, her tone was belittling. So we gave up and just sat separately not wanting to make a spectacle. The 4 of us were sat. I looked next to us and there was an empty 4 top and a 2 top?!?!? My mind was blown as I am watching them take my family to a whole other section on the other side of the restaurant. We then said something to the front end manager again and she said they are unavailable then 2 minutes later we watch them sit a 2 top there. We got up and left. I’m sorry but I manage a restaurant and this lady was rude and unprofessional. I never really get to experience other restaurants as I am always working but I feel you need to know about this employee. We had an awful experience, I couldn’t even believe a manager would talk to customers like this. I will say eventually after realizing the hostess manager was not the actual main manager because she misrepresented herself we asked for the General Manager. I forget her name but she came out and was very understanding and apologetic. She had no problem accommodating us and even she was a little taken back that it was even an issue because there was available seats, but by then my Mother in law who has dementia was irritated and we just wanted to leave. My family has always loved this place, I was excited to try it. I understand how difficult the industry is right now but to treat anyone this way is unacceptable. This lady should not be the front of the house. You are allowing a rude, arrogant and unprofessional woman to be the face of your establishment, it’s a shame because there was no need for her to act like this. So please retrain this woman on customer service and professional etiquette and as for the rest of the staff they...
Read moreWe had the best service tonight! I did call ahead seating using the website at 4:30pm and was surprised to find their wait already at 25-35min. It took me back to the 2010s. With all the dining options, and post pandemic habits the hype/ wait times seemed to have dropped off so I was shocked to find a wait so early in the evening on a Wednesday. When we arrived, the parking lot was so full we had to circle a few times and the vestibule was packed! No one was masked and no one was socially distanced. This isn’t a complaint, it was refreshing to feel like we are “back to normal!” Despite the lines, we texted HERE, and we’re welcomed right in. The hostesses were extremely friendly. Each one made eye contact and greeted us with a smile or hello whether they were helping us or not. The whole operation of getting guests to their table is a well oiled machine. Our server Gianna, was the best waitress I’ve have post pandemic in any restaurant I’ve been too. She was so attentive, anticipated our needs before we knew we needed them, and made sure everything went smoothly with each turn. We had ordered an appetizer that didn’t come out before our entrees were delivered and without us even mentioning it, she said “since the food came out before the tater skins, we will take those off the check, but don’t worry, they’re still on there way!” …. “Oh, well thank you very much!! 😁😁” Weezie, who I believe is a food runner, was also AWESOME! She kept clearing plates, but not in the annoying way where you feel like you’re being rushed out, and making sure we had extra condiments, bread, and straws. She even brought us a bag for our take out when we didn’t ask as we were getting up to leave just because she saw us with 4 kids and multiple boxes. If the service wasn’t enough to sell me on this experience, the food was amazing! Texas Roadhouse has always been a personal fave but they nailed it tonight. I am so happy with decision to eat out tonight and so glad it was there. We came up from Cape May NJ and skipped over two closer locations. It was worth the extra miles, this is my Texas Roadhouse location moving forward!! I will...
Read moreSo it’s been several years since I visited the Texas Roadhouse (see last picture of my first review)
I went there for my birthday, Thursday nite, should not be that busy right? Nope!
Place was packed, thankfully we used the app to put our name on “the list”
First Impressions? Chaos.. seems like a lot of people working frantically? The woman at the door confirmed our name and we sat down and waited.
The text came and we went to the woman at the door and she said thanks and that’s it.
We noticed a line of people that seemed to be waiting for a waitress/waiter to seat them as well.
10 min later another person escorted us to our table.
This place is loud, not sure if acoustics are bad? In comparison to Longhorn Steak house which is just as busy but not as loud.
Our waitress was terrific! We got our app and drink order in. Was pretty quick.
The app was cooked perfectly and only issue was not enough dip sauce! Haha 😆
My steak was “good” for me needed some more seasoning and “butter” to give it that sheen u get from other steakhouses. Loaded potato was enjoyable as well.
House chili? Meh- reminded me of “Wendy’s” chili- just lots of chili powder.
Bad: the half rack of ribs was cold. We were clearly disappointed because now we have to say something.
Thankfully a manager was making his rounds and I advised him of the cold ribs. They weren’t even fall off the bone.
He apologized and said he would get “fresh” one. For me personally I don’t think I would want to hear that he’s getting me a fresh one because it makes me think that I received was an old rack of ribs
So unfortunately, I ate some of my steak and shared it with my girlfriend while we waited for her ribs. By the time we got them, they were fall off the bone and very hot, but we were full and wrapped up our plates to take home.
Overall service was great. The recovery for the rib incident was perfect. We had a OK time at the Texas Road house. My only issue is the absolute chaos and noise factor made me feel rushed when I ate my meal.
And the steak, which is the...
