I have visited this restaurant two times in the last month. The first time I went with my family (2 adults and 2 kids (7 & 10 yo). We were seated in a booth which was nice and comfy. Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink order. I ordered the Summertide Mule. It came over quickly and was in a nice Tito's glass; however, the drink was definitely on the weak pour side and tasted like juice. The menu looked interesting to us (in a good way) as there were some options that you usually don't see at other local restaurants. We got some apps for the table to share - nachos with chicken (would not recommend), parmesan wings (really good), and the beet salad (delicious). Then for dinner the kids got the kids cheeseburger off the kids menu (kid approved and the fries were delicious), grain bowl with chicken (another good choice). All in all our experience was pleasant.
Then my husband and I decided to go for an early dinner on a Wednesday around 5pm. We decided to sit at the bar this time around. The bartender quickly offered us drinks - I tried the Summertide Mule again and this time it was a little stronger but still on the juicy side. My husband got a margarita which he enjoyed. We ordered the beet salad again but didn't find it as favorable as last time - there was hardly any whipped ricotta in the bowl. We were greeted by another bartender who offered us another round. I did the same drink and her try was much better. We stayed at the bar for about 1.5 hours. I will say that as the seats began to fill up the service lacked. The one bartender was chit chatting with her friends that came in to see her which I felt took away from her attentiveness. We were going to order another app but she took so long to make eye contact with that we decided to just go right into a dinner option. We got the grilled chicken gyro (delicious) and the pulled pork cuban (delicious). I was also looking at some of the other plates as they came out which a lot of the food looked really good. I will say that the flatbreads are so small - they should not be charging $15 for that size flatbread. All in all our time there was decent and enjoyable, not sure it will be a favorite go to due to the lack of service but it is one of the more "upscale" restaurants in Sicklerville that I would consider. I think they are comparable to The Cinder Bar and it's nice to see a more modern establishment...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe arrived at 6pm and were seated immediately. We really had high hopes, the menu was unique and we were excited to try the food. It took a while for the server acknowledge us (approx 10 mins). When she did, we ordered our drinks, which took a while to arrive as well. When she delivered the drinks, we ordered our apps/dinner. We ordered GOAT fries, which had hardly any chirzo and we had to order extra aoli on the side. We ordered shredded duck crostini, the flavors contradicted each other...wasn't too appetizing. We also ordered arancini rice balls ( no flavor whatsoever AND there were no condiments on the table; salt/pepper etc). We also ordered grilled octopus (I couldn't stand it, but my hubby thought it was ok).
Within the time it took for our dinner to arrive (about a half an hour) we wanted to order more drinks, but the server was no where to be found. My hubby finally spotted her at the host stand and walked to her to ask her if she could order us another round.
Our dinner arrived. We had truffle Flatbread, which was so salty, it was almost inedible. I don't think it even had truffles on it; I couldn't taste or smell them. We also had ahi tuna and cucumber salad. The tuna was DICED and so small we could barely see it. There were more greens than anything and it needed more dressing, it was bland. At this time, the server finally showed up to check on us. We told her the food was subpar and that the 2nd round of drinks were not the same. She looked dazed, confused, and angry all at the same time then she left. She didn't offer to fix anything so I went to the bar to get new drinks made. While I was there, the mngr came to the table and spoke with my hubby. There were no attempts made to rectify any situation we had with the food or drinks.
On our way out, we ran into another guest who was dissatisfied. He stated that his server was really mean and slow. I asked where he was sitting and it was across the room from us... Must be a theme because our server was awful as well and the food was subpar. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone and we will NOT be back. I have been in the restaurant business for over 30 years and in my humble opinion, this place will be closed within the year unless some major...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday on a Monday for lunch. I ordered a strawberry lemon drop from the bartender who was also the server, as the restaurant was practically empty. She said she could make it, however, it came back tasting more like a grapefruit martini, instead of what I ordered. After 1 sip, I told the server I didn't care for the drink, and would like something else, to which she responded she had to ask her manager if she could. The manager then came to the table and interrupted my 3 friends and I, to go on and on about how they don't usually do this, but she'll make an exception, and how I ordered something that wasn't on the drink menu (that the bartender said she could make), how they only use high quality this and that, how she shouldn't take it off; she went on and on with a rude undertone for no reason until I reached over the table to hand her the glass and repeat for the final time, "please take this off my bill, and I would like a lemondrop". Three minutes later, the same manager came back, to interrupt our table AGAIN, to pointlessly say "I just looked behind the bar and I don't see anything grapefruit ". I basically had to shrug my shoulders because of her irrelevant and unnecessary comment because it should have been done and over with. **Coincidentally, there were 3 grapefruits sitting on the bar that I guess she couldn't see... We all ordered chicken and waffles, which were dry and lacked taste. I definitely wouldn't recommend that off the menu. The restaurant is esthetically pleasing, however, the manager lacked couth and professionalism in both her overall presentation, and unnecessary interruptions to our meal. If I am paying $15 for a cocktail, I feel I should enjoy it. The bartender was very kind and made the other two drinks I had wonderfully! The manager sat in what looked like street clothes wearing oversized pink sunglasses, at a table further behind us the remaining time we dined. As a result of the unpleasant manager, I will not be returning to this restaurant, nor do I recommend it as long as...
