When locals rave about their Lobster Carbonara, you can rest assured it is perfect. We always enjoy Decklyn’s, their food is fresh and delicious and their servers are happy and competent without being over bearing. We started with six oysters on the half shell, south bay. Small, chilled and served with all the accompaniments. Just what the hot weather ordered! Now on to the star of the show, the lobster carbonara: Listed as MP (market price), I decided to go for it as it was my birthday. We are not large folks so we split the entree and the just right Caesar salad. The carbonara arrived in a deep wooden serving bowl, and there was plenty for both of us ( said I would never have been able to eat that LARGE PORTION). Now, when I say there was lobster, THERE WAS LOBSTER! Lots of perfectly cooked chunks, a claw cut in half, and slathered with a creamy thick sauce, which was strewn with bright green peas, and pancetta. The flavor profile was layered and subtle, on a hot July night, it was not heavy. Pat does a wonderful job running Decklyn’s. Get yourself there! Outdoor bar, indoor bar and dining as well as inside. For this local, Decklyn’s is the...

We visited DeCKlyns last night (Friday eve). We are big fans of CK pearl in Essex so we wanted to try out Pats new place. First impressions, this place is going to be a hit! It's right on the water with plenty of parking onsite and on street nearby. The painkillers are amazing, can't wait to come back on a warm day to sit on the deck and enjoy them! The menu is filled with local fresh ingredients and local seafood. If you are a fan of CK's smoked wings (as I am) Pat's brought them over to DeCKlyns and they pair well with everything on the menu. The carne asada was a treat, with a true Caribbean flavor the steak and tostones were a hit with everyone who ordered. The carnitas burrito was a delight, the pulled pork fresh cheese and crispy fries were a winning combo!

Looking forward to coming back and trying out the rest of the menu including the fish and chips and tacos! Regulars of Captain Carlo's will recognize some friendly faces behind the bar!

Good job Pat and team! Looking forward to summertime...

Decklyn's has been a favorite of ours this summer on Thursday nights, where we enjoyed dinner before the Harbor Loop concerts.

A must have is their smoked prime rib, made especially for and served on Thursday's. So deliciously smoked and makes for an absolutely special meal! Their lobster salad is the best ever with arugula, avocado, corn and the tarragon vinaigrette. Steak tips and salmon are 2 other meals that we go back to and our other fav's are their coconut curry mussels and bang-bang shrimp!

Chef Ben Insuik is very talented and takes special care in curating a unique menu, love that they offer specials too. We always leave talking about our dinners and how great it was! Plus the wait and bartending staff at Decklyn's consistently provide a wonderful dining experience. We love the outdoor deck and live music that continues throughout the weekend too.

PS: If you are fortunate and there may be any leftover prime rib, you might find a Prime Rib 3-Way as a special on the menu over...

Popped in for late lunch. Picturesque spot overlooking the marina, nice airy atrium-type dining room (lots of outdoor seating too although, on this day, it was too breezy for that. Service was friendly and attentive. Lobster roll was good sized but the lobster was a tad chewy/overcooked. Fries were good - regular, shoestring type. Side salad was substantial and served tossed in what I assume is the house vinaigrette. Nice and light. The revelation of the meal however was the mocktail, the Decklyn: pineapple juice, lime & ginger beer with sliced jalapeño. First taste was refreshing. Then the jalapeño kicked in! Ahooah! It was tasty but be forewarned. I pulled the jalapeños out and that toned it down just enough to keep the refreshment but with a much smaller kick.

Hidden gem in downtown! The food did take some time to come out but it was delish! The fish tacos were flavorful and the side of coleslaw was yummy and sizable. Chicken nuggets from the kids menu were surprisingly soft and came with super tasteful sauce. The restaurant had large outdoor sitting area with a view of a marina and cute lights that go in the evening. The place is kids friendly. I think its genius to give out wax sticks for kids to play with instead of the crayons and coloring pages. Our kids stayed entertained for more than an hour and unleashed their creativity with the craft! Moms approved!!!

This was our first time here and everything about it was wonderful! The guy at the front was friendly, our server was awesome! He was so nice and helpful with food choices. My kids ate all their pasts so that’s a plus too! The atmosphere on the deck was beautiful, I wish we stayed later to see the lights above the deck because I know that would have been beautiful as well! Over all a great dinner experience, we will definitely be back! Oh and the white sangria was delicious!
