Myself and my family had dinner at Logans today in Goldsboro. We decided to give them another chance after a previous bad experience a couple years ago. They had underwent some changes and we hoped for good things. But we were mistaken. Service in general in this day and age has completed disappeared in most places. Attitudes, lack of respect and appreciation for the customer are gone. It isn't taught or expected anymore. In this particular case we ordered our food and it came out in a reasonable amount of time. The atmosphere wasn't good. Music was not appropriate for a restaurant and some of the staff were being loud and obnoxious. Food looked good and we began to eat when my 11 year old daughter discovered an insect in her salad. When the server came by the table finally she laughed about it and actually took the insect and piece of food it was on and walked away, going to another table to get the check and tip first and then moving into the kitchen. We waited and nothing. 15 minutes later she showed back up to ask if we needed more drinks. Nothing about what happened. I told her I wanted my daughters meal removed from the bill. She left and returned about 10 minutes later and stated the manager agreed to take it off the bill. Problem is manager never came to our table to show any concern, if she actually knew what happened. I feel like the server just threw it away and would have never offered removing it from the bill. The server apologized when she gave us the bill obviously to save what tip she expected to receive. No customer service at all from the manager who I believe was Tamara, for an issue the health department would shut them down for. This food goes before many many sets of eyes and this wasn't caught or maybe it was and was left there anyway. My daughter didn't get to eat her food and myself and my wife were obviously apprehensive about our food as well. I didn't finish my meal either. Rodents and insects in your food are about the most egregious issues a restaurant can have. Unfortunately this is just about the new normal at most places now. I'm not a complaining person but when wronged I'll tell others about my experience in hopes that it will prevent anyone else from the same experience. We won't be back at Logans again and we live in Goldsboro. I feel as long as the public continues to spend their hard earned money at these places and tolerate the disrespect and attitudes and in this case the health risks then these businesses will continue to operate the way they are. No consequences means it's ok in their minds. They need to stop being more concerned with hurting the employees feelings and making sure they are politically correct and diverse, that they ruin the businesses that mostly were originally built by hard working, customer oriented, respectful business owners. So, they won't continue to get our small amount of money any longer. Be careful, be safe and respectful and refuse to accept this type...

Don’t bother go to TEXAS ROADHOUSE.

So we come had a 30 min wait, Fine. I understand that. It’s a Saturday night and a lot of people got paid this week. But it only took 15 min to wait. Great, even better. What I don’t get is how I sit down and the people that sat down 10 mins after us gets there food 10 mins before us. Not a cook problems it was our waitress. Because the people behind us had a different server. Our kids chicken tenders weren’t hot they were warm like they sat under the heat lamp for over 20 mins. She may have got my ex husbands drink a refill but walked away before even asking if my kids needed one. ( needless to say we were waiting at the table for over 40 mins before our food was delivered and as soon as we sat down we ordered our food along with our drinks. The manager even came over and apologized for it taking so long and offered to replace the kids tenders, but I was ready to leave at this point just wanted to eat and leave.

As we exit, our waitress, Christina is coming through the entrance like she got done taking a quick smoke break didn’t even smile or bother to hold he door open for my kids nor my ex on our way out. (I honestly felt like she assumed we didn’t leave a tip, but we did.) I wanted to go back and tear up our receipt where we left her a 5 dollar tip, not for her service but for her time because it sucks being a waitress I get it but you need to be on point for 10-15 dollar tips. So once’s again go to Texas Roadhouse, we will not be coming back to Logan’s. We went to Texas Roadhouse 3 days before tonight wanted to go back again tonight but the parking lot was slammed pack... I wonder why. Better service,...

Way Back When I worked in Goldsboro, Logan’s was our place to go, food, drinks and the people who looked after us made it so. I decided to go there over Carl and chells. And I’m so glad I did. At the bar Melissa greeted me immediately asking if she could help me, after placing my to go order I decided to have a drink while waiting. She prepared me a Long Island iced tea. it was worthy of being a Long Island to drink. I do know because I usually have to request it being remade. I still can’t drink it yet I’m still required to pay. Constantly checking with me I can say she is my favorite and not because she provides my Alcohol. 🤫🤷‍♀️ I took a pic of my steak and sweet potato But I eat ALL of my salad before realizing I hadn’t taken a picture🥹🙆‍♀️🤭The steak was perfectly cooked, outside seared retaining the juices and the center pink. The sweet potato properly cooked although, I would have loved to have had some brown sugar to top my butter and cinnamon. Brown sugar complements the cinnamon while calming the bitterness. MORAL OF THIS STORY; I’ll be seeing them again on my next trip. It has been a lousy month, So it may be trivial to others but for me, it meant much more. So Thank You Melissa for making a shitty year an enjoyable evening and an excellent meal. Cont…. It is for these reasons I chose what I did; Considering I demolished my salad, And I do mean ALL, I was unable to eat but a bite or two of the tenderloin portion of my porterhouse and a bite of sweet potato, I did reheat the following day and it was just a delicious as when I ordered. Next trip I promise I will make more...

Tried this place out yesterday while on vacation and it was not bad at all. We got the chicken finger basket to start which we were happy with. Our salads were also great, only complaint was that the croutons were chewy which meals probably old. I was also very happy with the buns. They were fluffy and came with two different types of butter to use, the cinnamon butter was delicious. I enjoyed them probably a bit more than others because ours were right out of the oven and still hot. Now for dinner, I was pleasantly surprised. I got the combo dinner with the sirloin and ribs and those ribs were so tender and fell right off the bone I ate them with a fork. They also had enough sauce which is always an issue at some places. The steak was great, cooked perfect medium rare, and had a pleasant smokey flavor to it. My dad got the bone in ribeye; he was not happy with how thin the meat was which is my one other complaint about this place. Other than that, the waitress refilled our drink many times and was pretty on top of everything. We also came about an hour before close so that might be contributing to the environment being a bit more enjoyable, but overall this was a great experience.
