This particular location is not representative of WENDYS as a whole. "AWFUL", is an understatement. I've been twice in the past 30 days, both occasions were consistently horrible. The staff is apparently unhappy about something, and sure to convey that sentiment by treating you a nuisance. Both employees I encountered made a point to express how unwelcome I was, by snatching my money, being short, and constantly sighing and rolling their eyes. Each time they had to come to the window, the "I can't be bothered" theme was expressed with zero ambiguity. On to the food; I got single with no pickle, tomato, or onion, and it was quite obvious that instead of making it to order, those three items were simply removed. Residue from each unwanted item was left behind. Not only was the burger cold to the touch, the ketchup/mayonnaise mixture was of a consistency I'm unable to explain properly. We'll call it "inedible". The Dr. Pepper was actually just carbonated water, and the fries, well, they might have been ok, but they were not in the bag, so I'm not sure. My first inclination was to go back, and get it remade, however, I did not. I'm not exaggerating when I say, "the attitude and demeanor of the staff convinced me that I wouldn't want to eat what I was given, if I dared to complain". I've literally felt less uncomfortable at a gas station ATM at 2am while surrounded by masked assailants. I'd recommend a grocery store dumpster over...
Read moreWendy's normally is one of the more consistent of the national fast food chains, but this location has poor management.
Going through the drive thru can easily be a 15+ minute ordeal here, and more often than not - they ask me what I had when I get to the second window or try to hand me the wrong food. Don't go there on your lunch break or if you only have a few minutes.
Today, I ordered through the app. I waited a few minutes before leaving (I work on the Air Force base nearby). When I got the the restaurant, the drive thru line wasn't moving at all, so I decided to go inside. There were three Wendy's associates having breakfast together in the lobby, and more than 5 or 6 people waiting for food. When I advised the cashier that I had a mobile order, they took a few minutes to pull up my order and get it started. The entire point to the app is to order ahead and avoid wait times.
While I was waiting, a couple came up to the counter upset about how long their food was taking. The cashier and manager didn't apologize once, and just gave them their money back. The cashier just rolled her eyes and threw their food in the garbage.
There were still several people waiting for their food when I left, and the people in the drive thru still hadn't moved.
I know that breakfast is still somewhat new for them, so I gave them a little slack for the timing - but the attitudes and lack of care by everyone working there...
Read moreI have stopped and dined at different Wendy's over the years with no issues. On 03/13, my wife, friends, and I stopped at the Wendy's located on Belvedere Boulevard, (?) in Goldsboro, Nc. What a nasty experience... The young lady at the register appeared to be either under the weather or had taken medication. She could hardly keep her head up, was having a difficult time with the keyboard, and just couldn't comprehend what I was trying to order. After finally taking my order, I discovered that she failed to take three out of four meals in my order. I had to swipe my card a second time for the remainder of the order. I'm waiting for my order while my friends found a semi clean table. When my order comes, I discover that she only placed two meals, not three! Now I had to go back in line to swipe my card a third time for the last meal. What should have been a simple and quick order turned out to be 25 minutes of frustration and disbelief... And this is before I was able to sit down to eat! By the way, while waiting for my meals, I got to witness 7 other poor souls experience the incoherent cashier, with one customer giving up and walking out. I guess I've had enough of...
