Denny's — Restaurant in Goodyear

I have eaten here specifically a few times and the food is always as expected. Tonight I arrived to pick up a Doordash delivery. Upon entering I was greeting by a kind young woman, and as she bagged up the order the waitress walking by was also very nice and greeted me also. As the waitress asked the host (unsure if these are their actual titles, but for differentiation I'll use server and host for the two women) a question, a man came from the kitchen and yelled at me from the kitchen door asking if id been helped. I said "yeah, she's got it for me". I thought that would be the end of the exchange, just alarmed that I'd been yelled at but i would have left happy. He then goes to the back and come out with empty dish trays, walks the distance behind the seating counter, and stares me down the entire length. I won't lie, I returned a glare seeming as it felt intimidating. That was already something I was going to note to the host, but as he made his way back towards the kitchen doors he tells at me again asking "where's your boyfriend?". Not asking "do you have a boyfriend?" To me, already been stared and yelled at now twice by this man, that's an intimidating phrasing. I felt so uncomfortable with how he stared at me and did not understand I was being taken care of and didn't want his further attention that I felt worried about these female employees. I called back to ask the host for his name or job title. Nate who was on shift as a dishwasher is my understanding. Under no condition do I feel it is okay to have this man acting this way, I would be terrified to work for him, and i was raised by a single dad and taught to stand up for myself. I already have the number for corporate and I'll be calling in the morning. But this is abhorrent behavior, let alone to happen whiles he's on the clock, but I guess that was my reassurance he wasn't going to try and follow me outside....

Very disrespectful to his waitresses.. in front of children and everyone speaking to them like there animals. The others walked out and he still had the nerve to sit there and still disrespect his only worker . 11:05 08/18/22 redish hair worker lady is a trooper she definitely loves dennys enough to take it . Promote this women and fire this chief your business will be a mockery and will be a disgrace for that behavior.

Came to give them a 2chance just got out of work 11:42pm Thurs feb15 2023 sitting in my car mad I waisted 52$ on food that had no flavor meat was still little pink the gravy to biscuits no flavor no pepper nothing water down I'm a very patient person but the waiter very rude I understand hard job but we all tired I know I'm on my feet and lifting 24/7 but this is your job were paying for good food and service she never gave us refills on our drink then the guy picking up the plates complaining about how people order water but don't drink it how you think I feel I ordered food with no flavor gravy watered down hamburger pink it was not it and the waiter being rude is not it for this place I'm officially done with this place if your not careing about your employees or who is your employees how do you think your business is going to go literally plated everything to give to the homeless dogs...

I find it easy to submit a review for "My Denny's, (Litchfield and I-10) in Goodyear, AZ. I frequent the place to get some work done during the day. It's kinda like my very own "Cheers"... you know that place "where everybody knows your name". Gotta love it! Okay, let's face it. The grub is your standard Denny's diner deal. However, it would be unfair not to note, I will stand the Denny's Burger up against any of the surrounding burger shops in the area.. dollar for dollar, taste for taste... Denny's takes the ribbon - hands down! Always hot, fresh and tasty. So ,what causes this joint to stand out and the reason for my review - THE SERVICE! Everyone is always warm and inviting. Alejandra, aka Alley, is my regular server. She's a winner! Over the last 8 months I am often here working during breakfast and/or lunch, and I've not seen her one time without a smile, and bringing A1 attention and service. I'd like to say "I'm her fav...." but I watch as she goes about and she shows the same level of attention and cheerfulness to EVERY customer she serves. Even to her co-workers, she is always cheerful and pleasant. No background drama or competition among the staff. BIG SHOUT OUT to Alley and all ya'll at Denny's, Goodyear! The Daytime crew rocks! Hat's off and keep up...
