I have been very underwhelmed with this location. As a long-time lover of Sonic and their products, it sucks that this is the location that is closest to my house. I have, over the last 2 years, had multiple occasions of orders being wrong, longer than 30-minute waits, and rude service. The two most prevalent being that I stopped and got drinks. When my sweet tea came out, it was unsweetened. So I went through the drive-through to see if they could remake it, there was no apology, or let me fix it. The person looked at me and said, "we don't serve sweet tea here." Sir, yes, you do because that is normally what I get. I ended up just asking if he could give me a different drink. Then again today, when I pulled in to get lunch for my daughter and I, the button kept resetting, and I had to press it 3 times before I finally got through. We got home, and I had gotten the wrong food in my order. When I called, I used to work customer service so I try to be as nice as possible (so i didn't raise my voice or cused or anything), I asked to speak with the manager. Again, I received no apology, and the manager answered with just a 'hello'. No 'thank you for calling this is _ shift manager with Sonic, how can I help you' or even a hi this is the manager on shift today how can I help.' I'm a little old fashioned and like to know who I am speaking with, and when you don't introduce yourself as a manager or lead, it makes me feel like you are lying. I asked her name and she just stated 'I dont feel comfortable sharing that.' This whole location just seems mismanaged and like it doesn't have any ideas what is going on. It is especially funny to me as their entry level postion requires employees to be 'Friendly and welcoming individuals who enjoy providing pleasant and courteous food service to our guests!' and also have 'Contagiously positive attitude.' 1st Problem - sat at stall 10 for about 15 minutes, someone kept removing my red light without acknowledging me or taking my order.
2nd Problem - moved to a different stall, again no one acknowledged me or took my order but then other orders began to show on my screen.
3rd Problem - went to drive thru #2 waited an additional 15 minutes, no one took my order or acknowledged me. However, Drive thru #2 orders were displayed on my screen.
I decided to call while sitting in drive thru because cars were piled up behind me, leaving the stalls but only drive thru #1 was moving. After speaking to Courtney (very kind) and informing her of the problem, she was empathetic but after 5 minutes of still no service I decided again the circle around and go to Drive thru #1… GUESS WHAT?!?! No service AGAIN!! Called your location back, after realizing Courtney was informing customers in drive thru #2 that lane was closed, I started to wonder if my lane was closed. Sure enough, it was!
Went to Avondale’s Sonic, they answered my order and served my quickly.
Owner, perhaps you can partner with the Avondale’s location for additional training. It is obviously Goodyear’s location is short of help but not understanding how to work the drive thru and stalls is literally unheard. Not to mention, the lack of...
Read moreNot entirely sure what was going on during our visit, but whatever it was, it was not good. We pulled up to an order booth at this location later last night and put in a simple order. Two meals, one burger, and two shakes. The food took a while to be ready but sonic so conveniently displays the progress of your order on their windows while you wait. After some time the window notified us that the food was on its way out. I saw the food runner take our order to another car and commented on it to my partner. She never acknowledged that it happened, and ran back inside. We waited for even longer for the food to arrive and when it did, it arrived with a free ice cream and a free burger coupon but no acknowledgement that the order had been taken to the wrong car. After all the trouble, she handed us the order and realized she brought out one wrong shake. She disappeared again. We waited literally 20 minutes for the shake and when nobody ran it out, we pressed the button AGAIN to ask for the shake, and they had absolutely no idea what we were talking about. We spent a total of one hour at this sonic waiting for two popcorn chickens, a burger, and two shakes. Not once did the employees have any concern for us...
