Food is fine, if not a bit expensive. Four stars. You can get the same or better quality food at many other local Japanese cuisine places for less money.
My experience is similar to another review on here, which the owner responded to but didn't really address the issue, and it seems they like to nickel and dime(s) you.
If you ask for your food "dine in," you're given food on small trays without lids. Not a problem, as you can go back to the counter and ask for lids in the event you have food that you would like to take home. However, if you would also like to take home a small container of soy sauce for the remainder of your food, for example, they want you to pay $0.75 for what must be a $0.10 plastic container. Alternatively, you could fill your tray with soy sauce, and see if what is left of your sushi roll floats. Presumably this would be cheaper than giving you a small plastic sauce container, though it might be saltier than me. I was told that I could not be helped, $0.75 is the policy. This was after I had left a tip for several times that amount with my order for what amounts to no real "service" anyway.
Moral of the story, don't leave a tip. Save it to pay for the little plastic containers that the owner cannot afford to give you. If the employees don't like not being tipped, they should take their talent elsewhere, and leave the owner in the lurch for finding help that is willing to work for less money, that way he can afford to give those costly sauce containers to his customers instead. Or just take your business elsewhere, you know?
Sure, it's only $0.75. but it's an experience thing, and my experience was not positive. Three stars. I normally would have let something like that go, but after finding another similar review, and an unsatisfactory response from the owner, I felt compelled to leave my own. So my final answer is two stars. Welcome to the...
Read moreMy sister and I ordered from this location and as we awaited our food I had noticed one cook not wearing her mask. It wasn’t under her nose or her chin, it was completely not on. So I was very concerned, but what was the most disturbing was the other cooks in the back that I saw eating as she prepared our food. She picked up a piece of chicken and ate it and continued to work. I was astonished to say the least. We then went up to the counter to explain our concerns and asked for a refund. They refused and said it wasn’t in their authorization. I don’t understand how food isn’t refundable when it hasn’t even been given to you yet. We were told to contact the manager, who only has a voice message and has yet to contact back. Seeing as we are in a Global pandemic wearing a mask while making food for customer shouldn’t be an issue. My sister has a newborn and my family has health issues, so this was extremely disappointing that we could have been affected over lack of sanitation in this workplace. The cooks were then told of our concerns and laughed at us as we waited. We asked for the names of these 3 cooks and they refused that as well. This was the worst experience I have ever had in any establishment. I even went as far to get an inspection done at this location. I would recommend to not eat at this location and beware of the other locations if they share the same customer service or lack of sanitation during this time.
*I am a customer and shared my experience. I have never been an employee at any Yogi’s grill, you must have me mistaken. I have spoken to the owner already months ago about the situation, which was not handled professionally through many emails about this establishment not wanting to “Admit guilt” and no...
Read moreOkay I'm reading a lot of these reviews and I'd like to say that you are supposed to get your own silverware and add whatever you want to your container when you get it to go. They have a lot of different sauces and different things you can add to your food. If you are door dashing and doing Uber Eats yeah that's not going to be available to you. I love the salmon teriyaki it's always made to perfection! The sushi is better than most places around here. Have a sesame seed allergy and 6 out of 10 times I still have seeds on my Sushi and I'm unable to eat it. However today was a super positive experience the girl was new I wish I would have gotten her name she caught my sushi at the window because it had seeds on it and they were able to remake it without any problems because I did not handle the food. Not only was she super polite she also checked my order before it went into my to-go bag. They seem to have a lot of new workers there and they are all a lot more positive! I feel like a lot of these reviews are more of a problem with doordash Uber Eats then this actual facility. Update her name is Nicole...
