Update: ☆☆☆ I have been contributing to Starbucks for a couple of years now and the location that I usually frequent has been through changes over that time, good and bad. *Location on 4580 Elkhart Rd, Elkhart, IN 46517. * I understand it is the integrity that lies in part on the service employee's attitude and skill. Whether the employees that I come in contact with are having a bad moment when we speak or I am not with the crowd that can accept that this is what service is turned out to expect. The couple of attendant's disposition while taking my order is always that of underlying anticipation and when food items are not available, they appear to care less and cannot explain reasons why they don't have breakfast sandwiches or minuscule items as condiments, sugar packets, which continue to be absent. I realize my civility will come into question. It is that I have certain expectations when dealing with food service standards and this establishment feels more like a Jr. High School cafeteria with sticky counter and tabletops, rather than a global coffeehouse with influences in our culture. I continue to frequent the location because of a few individual employees that promote positivity and feel welcomed. The restaurant business is a high energy position as you want to be on your toes at all times when dealing with customers. 22 years in the field has taught me this much and you notice these deficiencies when they occur. This mention is of the limitations that can be changed, the other issues with the layout are manageable but problematic for customers. Previous Review: ☆☆☆☆☆ The newly remodeled cafe is returned to serving their handmade beverages by attentive baristas. Pleasant atmosphere with the Starbuck's stamp on decor. Pre-made artisan-like vendor foods that are periodically restocked but availability are limited. Tight parking in lot at times, so get a spot when available. Drive thru line can hold up the parking...
Read moreI can't express just how much this location, especially the manager Robert, made a terrible day into a better one.
Without going too much in depth, I had made a large purchase from this store in the morning, which PayPal completely messed up while reloading my card and after hours of arguing with PP to fix their mistake and getting nowhere but more frustrated, I called the store to see if there was anything to be done to fix the whole mess and shockingly Robert remembered my situation and said it would be no problem and to just come on in and they would help.
By the time I could actually make it in, it was clearly their dinner rush and on a particularly crazy day (where you get the free hot cups with grande or larger drink) and just as Robert was walking out of the store from working all day, here I come with my boxes of crazy problems to be carried and sorted out, but instead of leaving it for the next manager to deal with, he helped me carry everything and explained the ordeal to the other manager on duty, who was also amazing and went out of his way just to make sure that it was taken care of for me.
Not just that, but his employees all had nothing but great things to say about him when he did finally leave, which anyone who has worked in food service knows how rare that is LOL. All in all, Robert and his whole team made my my awful day so much better. Truly it meant a lot to not feel like an inconvenience or a nuisance who was just slowing down their service times, but an actually valued customer.
Someone get Robert and his team a raise! Thank you, thank...
Read moreThe workers were extremely rude because I ordered on the app to only a couple minutes before arriving to the drive through. She told me “this drink was only ordered a couple of minutes ago so we will try our best to get that done.” I prefer to order online so that my order is right and easier on them to see what I want. I asked for a Venti cup they gave me a small. I told the girl I ordered a Venti. She checks the label n hands it to someone else and all I can here is a lot of sarcasm “she she she should have shouldn’t have” then the girl that made the drink hands it to the other coworker and says all sarcastically “made with allll the love and joyyyy” she gives me my drink and turns around walks away before I can ask for a straw.
Usually I go to Bigby they all know me by name and know my order and go above and beyond with outstanding customer service. I was gifted a drink from Starbucks recently and I really enjoyed it. But I will never go to this Starbucks again. My coffee is supposed to be the highlight of my morning but it...
