Flipside Cafe & Grill — Restaurant in Grafton

I ordered the corned beef hash with two eggs and English muffin. I cut up my eggs into the hash and had a few bites before my daughter told me.that I had a hair dangling off my fork and food. It was actually knotted in it. It took a while to get my waitress attention while my daughtered to continue to eat. I sat there and ate my toast. Finally I was able to show my waitress and she stopped took out her glasses and inspected it,which I thought was odd, and then took it away. She did not ask if I wanted something g else...after a while my daughter gave me a few bites of her while I had not breakfast in front of me.later the owner showed up and mumbled something and then said that I won't be charged for the hash. Still no offer to order something. We got our bill and they charged me for the eggs and english muffin that I didn't eat because they were mixed in with the hash. I took my bill up front to pay and was asked how everything was. I mentioned my experience and said that I couldn't believe that I was being charged... she agreed and took the eggs and english muffin off. I have eaten here several times in the last few months and the last 2 times have been very disappointing. Slow service is the main reason. I think the time a month ago was because of a change in shift. Was there today and wait to be seated for 10 minutes. Not a problem as they were busy. Server came by fairly quickly and took our order. Then we waited and waited. After about 40 minutes and watching people be served food that put their orders in after us, we finally complained. The server took another. 5 minutes to bring out the side order of pancakes, but it took nearly 5 more minutes to get the rest of our food. A piece of bacon fell off one of our plates and she saw it fall, but proceeded to place the plate down and said enjoy. I pointed outbthat food was on the floor and she said, oh, I'll grab snother slice and asked away. She did bring that replacement bacon pretty quickly. Another annoyance was that my husband's coffee cup had a cracked handle and we asked 3 people for another cup, which never arrived, until we tild our absent server. Not sure what is going on, but it will be awhile...

Having eaten here several times before I was wondering how they were handling covid. The food was good, the service however was a bit slower but I attribute that to servers working the entire dining room to compensate for spreading out. As another noted, menus are reused verses disposed of. Given the fact that they have an extensive menu I can understand how expensive it would be to constantly make new. Unfortunately what I can't get past is the training of the cleaning person. Surfaces were casually wiped off with a towel that didn't appear to be wet or freshly rinsed. As items were collected she did a cursory wipe but left behind food scraps on the bench. Distancing and spacing of tables was hall half-hearted. The staff was masked and appeared to maintain distance. Things could improve. The food quality is still...
