It's a TRAP and YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR MONEY BACK!!! Salesman Tony (Grafton, WI store) reels you in telling the customer everything you want to hear and then LIES!! He must have told us at least 15 times, probably more, "rest assured... there is 100 nights return no questions asked in home trial period. You can return any of it at anytime and there will be no questions asked within those 100 nights." NEVER did Tony tell us that the adjustable base was not refundable or returnable. When it came time to pay for the bed, Tony pushed us to taking the 0% financing option and avoid the other 2% financing option. When I asked Tony how the payments would be made, he replied that the finance company would contact us and set up the payments with us. LIE!!!! Tony opened up a credit card for us and DID NOT tell us he was doing this. We found out by receiving the credit card in the mail and contacting the credit card company! When we were in the store, my husband was able to fit on the bed and not have his feet dangle off. The bed that was delivered to us my husband’s feet dangled off! We do NOT have a headboard or a footboard. My husband NEVER has a problem falling asleep. He could NOT sleep on this bed!! His back hurt every morning terribly after sleeping on the Sleep Number bed and he has an extremely dangerous job. He needs restful quality sleep! After only a few nights, he told me to get this bed out of our house. THE NIGHTMARE BEGAN!!! Calling Sleep Number for their “100 nights no questions asked” policy… well I would rather have my TEETH PULLED with NO NUMBING!! My first of NUMEROUS phone calls, all I got was questions. The representative tried to send me a $400 item to keep the bed. ANYTHING I had to say the representative did not want to hear. After an extreme amount of my valuable time and numerous phone calls trying to get this resolved, the LIES that TONY AND manager BRETT (at the corporate office) told me, we still have not been fully refunded. BRETT a manager at the CORPORATE office told me on the phone “If you or your husband did not sign the contract, I will refund you.” Knowing that we did not receive a Sales Receipt Contract at the Sleep Number store. We only received a Customer Quote. BRETT called me to tell me that we will NOT be receiving the refund. My husband nor I signed the Sales Receipt Contract before delivery. I brought this to Brett’s attention. His response “I renege my statement. I will not be giving you a refund.” I have learned over the years to protect myself when dealing with situations like this. All the calls that I made to Sleep Number have been recorded. I have it on recording this statement BRETT made about refunding us the money! We ALL work very hard for our money and it is very valuable to us ALL. If you want to see your money wasted with NO CHANCE of a refund, then purchase a Sleep Number bed. I am a past sleep number bed owner and wanted to go to the store to lay on the newer beds to gauge which one would work for me. The minute I walked in the door, the salesman Tony Lococo(who I've had a similar experience with once before) grabbed me to show me the beds. He was aware that I was a past owner, so I didn't need any high-pressure sales I was simply there to test out the beds to make a decision. Tony wouldn't leave me alone to my own thoughts. Tried pressuring me into an I8 because "that's what everyone gets." Then he proceeds to tell me that there is zero percent financing for 24 months, which would come to $100 a month. He must have some new math I'm not aware of! Then he asks me what my reservations are and I said my experience with the previous bed was bad as it didn't last long at all and that the price point of the i8 wasn't affordable. As I was going to talk about the more affordable options he proceeded to hand me his business card and said "I have other customers coming in if you need something call." No one else was in the store and customers weren't coming in. He felt he wasn't going to make a sale so he got rid of me. The i8 he quoted me was $3,600 in the store and $3,100 online. Do yourself a favor and save some money and buy online. So disappointing that I wasn't left alone to my thoughts and allowed to try out the beds on my own. Will NEVER be back and not even sure I will purchase a Sleep Number again due to that...
Read moreVery disappointing experience POST sale of a new bed (after we paid in full). Bed was delivered and neither the pump nor the adjustable frame worked. Install technicians said we had to wait approximately 2 more weeks (after waiting a month for the delivery after paying) for replacements and then left us with the bed that could not be used. Called our sales person, Tony Lococo, who said “I can’t help you, you have to call Customer Service.” As you might imagine, Customer Service is an 800 number that has an automated menu. Not a pleasant experience at all.
