I came here with my mother for a mother-daughter hang out before I went back to school and it was nice for the most part. The place is clean and the basic pedicure is really good and worth it however I didn't like how they conducted business. We came in for the basic mani/pedi package for $40 but they kept offering stuff. In fact, for the pedicure they had a kit already out to add designs and details. They did not, however, tell us that it cost extra and made it seem like it already came with the package.
Then when it came to the manicure they offered shellac, I knew this would cost extra as I'd had it before and agreed to it. My mother didn't know what shellac was and while she was ahead of me the dude made it seem like it was just a more long lasting nail polish. It didn't help that they have very thick accents and English isn't my mother's first language but even so he mentioned nothing about it costing extra or how much it would be.
So in the end, instead of it being $40/$40 it ended up $55/$60 which was a rude awakening and pretty much ruined the relaxation we'd gotten from the visit.
I will say though that the pedicure/foot massage was very good as well as the massage chair and the intricate flower designs I got for my big toes and ring fingers are very cute. My nails also turned out nicely shaped and painted. It was just the feeling of getting conned that threw me off.
My advice is if you do go here, ALWAYS ask if something they offer...
Read moreI do not write reviews. In fact, I have done so only one other time. It is my hope that others will read this before deciding to throw money away. I do not and would not ever recommend this place (not a salon) to anyone. There was one person that seemed to have a sense of customer service. I do not think the individual that did my pedicure has not had any nail training at all. I could have (and will) do a better job myself. When I walked in and he acted as though I was completely putting him out by asking for a pedicure I should have turned around and walked out! An out of town family was there having their nails done for a wedding and I felt so terrible for them. The woman I spoke with had several cuts on her hands and feet. They cut her fingernails and toe nails so short I couldn't believe it. They didn't ask her but just starting cutting and I have never seen such an odd shape (mine as well). They need to work on customer service and their nail skills. Really bad and disappointing experience. I've been to many salons of similar cost and cannot imagine how they remain...
Read moreI went in for a gel manicure, and I can honestly say it was the worst manicure experience I’ve ever had. There were maybe 3-4 totally customers in the salon and no one was waiting (it was a Friday early afternoon), but the older woman doing my nails clearly cared more about just getting it done quickly Vs doing a good job. I specifically told her that I didn’t want my nails filed down much, just shaped - she ended up filing them extremely short. She did not ask me what shape I wanted my nails, and made them square - when I asked for them to be rounded she got visibly annoyed. She also did a very rough job filing/buffing my nails and cutting my cuticles - my nail edges were still ragged and there were loose cuticles when she started putting in the gel polish. She also put on 3 layers of gel (plus the top coat) - the polish ended up looking very bumpy and uneven, and was applied all over my cuticles too. It looks like an 8 year old painted them. Then she continued filing MORE even after the polish was cured. Really a horrible experience - save yourself the money and go...
